Default Sam Mitchell: The Sequel

Did you know that Sam Mitchell has the second longest tenure in the Eastern Conference, only Lawrence Frank has served longer with the Nets.

The movie that Mitchell has directed has had minimal success at the box office and has never garnered any Finals attention. Do you think its time for the team to get a new director or stick with the same one.

Who do you want to direct the sequel
Tom Thibodeau
Mike Budenholzer
Flip Saunders
or
Sam Mitchell

The Toronto Raptors 2: The Road To The O So Far But O So Close Title That Is Gold In Color And Resembles A Ball And Net
or
TTR2:TRTTOSFOSCTTIGICARABAN for short

Movie budget: $72 million

Rated: R for obscene use of victories

Name one coach that could turn this current roster into a .750% team! too many holes, too little value to fix the holes with. BC has painted himself into a corner so far here and we will probably lose AB, JM, JK, and JO and get very little back, mediocrity has set in to yet another MLSE team and they seem to be okay with it again.

I'd settle for .600, not .750 ...
The way I see it, we need to be a consistent .600 team BEFORE the Raptors can commit to go over the luxury tax. It's going to be very hard for BC to argue the need for a move that will put us over the barrier when we're .500 or below.

i would offer that we are a sub .500 team at best with the current mix unless smitch can grow quickly as a coach. we are pourous at the wing and weak on the bench. there aren't many teams that we can beat consistently at this point. if we are happy with a team that looks like it can be good and never grows, then we are on the right track! if not, we are in trouble.

this team is underachieving.we were pretty damn good to get into the playoffs and acquired a 6 time all star.we have had players having massive games and still lose in familiar fashion.we are predictable have no o or d and f sam...so stfu sam fanboys.

+1...i have no doubt that this is a quality team...we need wing help and a little more on the bench but other then that: caldy, bargs, bosh, and JO r a solid foundation.

And u know what they say...the sequel is rarely as good as the original

I think Sam has proven that he cannot get a team past the first round of the playoffs and if our goal as a team is to get beyond that point, then a coaching change is in order. I mean the Nets game, it is no more basic than that foul the damn guy so he can't tie it up for O.T. He "who shall not be named" played how many years for the Raptors, you know he can make those shots.

...just like he was waiting for dantoni to be released/fired?....dont be dumb.bc has given sam more than enough opportunity to be a coach the only problem is bc messed up by giving him the 4 year contract predicated on the coy award.....id take iavroni in a minute and any other coach presently employed in the nba or wnba over sam.....GO GO GO!,HORNS UP.

I would want BC's head if we get Avery. I want a defensive minded coach. Not one(Sam) that bases his career around the pick and roll and can't get him players to do it properly half the time

I turn on the score after coming home from school and they start talking about a new coach for the raps...i got all excited thinking they fired Smitch but they were just showing a vid with all the possible candidates

The score says Avery Johnson is the one for us which is intriguing but I'd go with Flip but AJ isn't that bad either
