Default Run-ins with Raptors

So i was at ACC's Centre Sports just now exchanging a gift that was given to our daughter, and who was in the store also? Pops Mensah-Bonsu. Of course i had to acknowledge him and wish him good luck on wednesday so i did. He was a pretty nice dude. His wife let me in line as she had some long winded task for the staff involving what i assume was a custom jersey for their daughter. That was nice too.

Not as good as Benzo's Morris Peterson story, but this was the first time i'd encountered one of the raps in person. Has anyone else met a raptor?

If anybody runs into Leo Rautins again you should ask him why Denham Brown is not playing for Team Canada anymore? And I know Canada made the 2010 Worlds, but I would like to know Leos thoughts on the younger generation of Canadians making an impact in the NCAA who will play for Team Canada.

I walked by Pops on Queen Street a few weeks back.

He was reading a book while he walked. Not as big as I thought. Had a very calm presence about him.

My raps run ins are few, in addition however;

Met Mo Pete at some event, Met Shaq there too though, so fuck Mo Pete.

Stood with Alvin and that Jefferies tool at the Guverment of all places, they looked like wallflowers. Not bar people I dont think.

Walked by Colangelo while he was going into his place in Yorkville.

Saw Turk and his wife in the summer.
Saw Triano at the torch thingy

thats all. Not much. I got fun Hockey stories though. Tie Domi doesn't like Sj. Mats Sundin loves him!

A girl that I was with for a while said he uncle used to own a part of the Raptors. Aside from that, though, no Raptors. I did run into Andrew Bynum once, though. He's from a little town in jersey where I went to high school. Also, one of my security guards in intermediate school was Shaq's cousin. He always brought us pictures of Shaq grilling, or chillin on the porch with Dr. J.

Didn't Butch still live here after he got the axe? I wonder if he still lives in Toronto?

Wel... let's see here...

I used to date Bosh until he started growing his hair too long and kept muttering "MVP" over and over in his sleep.

Me & Calderon haven't been talking much since I refused to have his child. I will NOT name any offspring off mine "Ocho". The man needs to respect that.

haha... that's how you gotta do it man. As a fan, you have to acknowledge them, but you gotta play it cool too.

Although... I think you could have gotten away with a high five.
