I like amir, davis, and reggie at the PF position. And possibly Reggie or Davis being Centre at times. I am kinda attached to all three.
But the possibility of getting a Toronto Native on the Raptors seems like a huge plus.
Once again I find myself agreeing whole heartenly with JeffB's above comment.

Raptors Cap / Tax Status for 2010-2011 (Updated on Page 8)

FYI - the latest info I've compiled for this year's cap status. I also have a 2011-12 set done, but that is irrelevant until after June 30th.

Tristan Thompson. He is a prsopect in the draft and says he would love too be drafted by the Raptors. Born in Brampton Ontariona and plays power foward. Average offensively but defensively he is excellent and in college, I believe, he ga=rabbed five ofeensive board a game. However, he is a bit undersized at 6'9

If Tristan Thompson is the best player available with the 8th pick then pick him... but it shouldnt have to do anything with him being from toronto/brampton whatever...

(and i do live in brampton)

Best player available at that spot should always be picked and not because he is a hometown boy... thats a ridiculous way of drafting..

He's predicted to go from 6-9, and he received workouts from almost all the top teams, so should he be there, he would be a very good pick up.

I don't think Thompson fits on this team. We already have too many power forwards on this team. There isn't anything Thompson can do that Ed Davis can't.

No shit! He was a rookie. But Davis imo will be a better player as a shot blocker and rebounder, while Thompson will be a better offensive player. For this team Davis >>> Thompson.

I wouldn't be so quick to assume that Davis will be a better defender, TT showed some real promise in that department in college while not being allowed to do some of the things he is capable of(his coach made him stay at home when defending for rebounding purposes and not being allowed to contest shots as it would leave him out of position)

Davis led this team in Double Doubles last season after missing the first month. If he can add some wieight there is no telling what he's capable of. Plus he's extremely mature and poised for his age. I think he's gonna be a special player. Thompson on other hand I have my doubts about. If we waste a pick on a PF I'd be pissed. It's the One position that's the most solid on this team.

Big deal, Jason kidd would have led this team in Double doubles so that is moot.

Yup he's mature, I've yet to read anything about TT not being mature.

Its kind of moot anyways, Davis had 2 years of college to TT's 1

Davis averaged more rebounds per game, about the same in points, TT more in blocks and steals and assists. Its like comparing cortland apples to macintosh in my opinion.

Either way, the last thing we need is a PF.

No more PFs thank you. I'm very happy with Ed Davis as our starter next year with Amir backing him up and Evans as our 3rd guy off the bench (if he signs for less than 2 million a year). If the Raptors are interested in this 8th pick (i have not heard anything official expect the guy who "claims" he knows someone") then that means we are either giving up a future pick or a guy like Primo Pasta or Amir. That is definitely not worth it. If i was BC, i would stick with my number 5 pick and see who i get and address other issues in the next draft when the Raptors are most likely going to win 30 games and get a top 10 pick. The way i see it, if we get Knight this draft then the only positions we would need to adress are the C and SF. Maybe we can get that SF by trading Primo Pasta (bargs) and then drafting a C.

As for Snooch, you wait till you see Ed Davis next year. With his limited playing time and missing TC because of injury, he was able to lead this team in double-doubles, prove him self to be an effective rebounded and shot blocker yet still having rookie growing pains like all rookies do. He needs to work on his O-game and he seems like a very determined guy, maybe next year he can average 15-10-1 for us next year. For a sophmore guy, that is great. I remember people shitting on DD after the end of his rookie and look at how he came back this year, averaging 17 PPG and looking like one of the steals of his draft class.
