Rumour: Bosh to NY for Lee/Chandler/Duhon??

Where's my grain of salt? Anyway this was posted in a Raptors forum (RealGm) by NY fan so.....whatever. But anyway, would you want this deal?

I asked if there has been any rumors he has heard. He mentioned that from the grapevine Toronto and NY have had talks about David Lee. However the main names that have been floated around are Bosh, Wilson Chandler, David Lee and Chris Duhon. My initially reaction was WTF?

Maybe BC is looking into a S&T for Lee with Bosh going to NY. I haven't crunch the numbers to see if a deal would work.

However, this kind of makes sense to me in a couple of ways.

1. NY has been rumored to pursue Bosh and Lebron next year.
2. They don't lose Lee for nothing, and don't tie up 9-10 million in cap room.
3. They get Bosh a year early to convince Lebron to join.
4. They have been talking to Kidd about a 3 year deal. Meaning Duhon is likely not starting.

On Toronto's end:

1. Lee is a proven double double machine.
2. Chandler gives us a solid SF, even if Marion leaves. Chandler can also play some SG.
3. Toronto was previously interested in Duhon and he would be a great defensive backup PG to Calderon.

Probably one of the better deals on the table for Bosh. Comparable to the GS Amare trade rumor.

Btw, for those looking to get season tickets, if you buy upper bowl tickets you can get a free pair of courtside for the coming season. Lower bowl you can get a minimum two sets of courtside tickets. Games are decided by MLSE.

I just posted a similar trade on the Lee thread. But, I had their #1 pick, and Banks included. And, I'm sticking to it. We need to get rid of Banks' contract, and I wouldn't mind a mid round #1 pick in a deep draft.

Bosh may be the superstar in the deal, but i guarantee you that Lee would be the better player in the long run.

This deal goes through and then you can sign Marion + (Kleiza/Rasho w/MLE) and maybe still trade for Belinelli?

That is, if Golden State offers roughly the same amount in return for Bosh as they did for Stoudemire. Nellie wants a power 4. Bosh really doesnt fit the mold of that.

Absolutely awful. Unless we're getting their unprotected 1st for this year and another one in the future its just bad. Chandlers nice but hes a good role player, I dont think he'll ever be a top SF, and Lee is good and all but his defensive deficiencies and lack of height really hurt him unless he has a top level post player next to him.

Hate the deal.

Chandler's a wing player, jeff. He'd probably be our starting two if this trade were to go down. If not he'd be backing up Marion and we wouldn't need to sign Kleiza.

I was speaking to a reliable source - myself....and I think Lee would come here as part of a sign and trade for Marion.

Not to mention if Bosh goes to NY and convinces Lebron to join the next year. I'm not really interested in seeing those guys 4-5 times a season for the next 5-6 seasons.

I don't like the idea of Bosh being moved to a division rival.

Me neither. If anything I want Bosh traded to the West so we would only have to see him twice a year

Division rival or not, you do the best trade you can to improve your team.

And, the Marion for Lee deal leaves our wings as exposed as ever. Kleiza alone will not be the solution.

isn't Lee 6'10"? I don't know if I would consider that undersized.
