I don't know for me Joey Graham was a never was. Worst Draft year the Raptors ever had. Consider all the players Babcock past up on that year. I know I know its all highsight 20 / 20 stuff I'm saying now BUT I was so pissed at that draft the day of it but thats another discussion for another day

We heard this before.

Joey is too robotic, has no handle, his left side is paralyzed and he was lobotomized some time in the past.

When the draft came about and we got Joey, I was estatic. Shit, this guy was a warrior at the combines and blew everyone away with his athleticism. I'm sure most Raps fans were salivating at the prospect of turning loose the guy who would help turn the franchise around. He was touted as being a defensive stopper. Shit, I remember the guy beating out MoPete for the starting gig at the 3 opening night of the 05-06 season.

The thing with Joey isn't his athleticism.. it's his brain. I don't know how the guy has a degree in aviation but doesn't understand X's and O's on the court.

Joey picked wrong league to join... he would be better off playing in NFL.

Hated that draft with a passion. Seeing Hakim Warrick own Charlie V in college just made me come to the conclusion he wasn't no where near being a top 10 pick in the NBA. Also, I didn't think Joey had it either. Although he was a mid round pick so you really never know with them. Again this is all hindsight stuff now and its acient history

Yeah, but it's not like Hakim Warrick's doing anything special in the league (I dont wanna say that too loudly, Insider loves that dude) - Charlie is a good player - when he wants to be. We've seen him do incredible things - torch teams for 40+, pull down 10+ boards, but we've also seen him put up 4 points and being constantly lazy on D.

That 2005 draft was a pretty decent one..Bogut, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Marvin Williams, Andrew Bynum, Danny Granger, Nate Robinson, Jarret Jack, Jason Maxiell, Monta Ellis...

Obviously Nellie doesn't like neither player nor is he going to play them
And Graham can play PF
It could be a win win situation

But probably a draft pick is going GSW way too

Yes the 2005 draft was a good draft and the Raps got virtually nothing out of it. With Charlie yes he could torch teams from time to time but its all so inconisitent like you already said. Why would you want an inconsistent scorer that doesn't play D. I myself am a Warrick fan. My college team is Syracuse and I follow them as closely as I possibly can. However; I'm also a realist and watching Big East games alot I never found Charlie all that great in college. It was a horrible top 10 pick then and of course it still is now.

You know that Charlie put up better numbers than Bargs in his rookie year right? And would have lad a legit shot at ROTY had Paul not been in there?

"Horrible top 10 pick"?

Gimme a break.

Joey graham is 6'7 bud. and compared to maggette he is much stronger physically. The Raptors even played joey ad PF at random times. why wouldnt the undersized warriors use him at PF. I think this trafe is possible but not withouth the raps giving up draft picks, or without the inclusion of marcus williams....

At the combines in 2005, they listed Joey at 6'5". Maybe he's 6'7" in shoes. Or maybe he grew an inch and a half in 2 years. Maybe it's all the milk he's drinking.

I need some of that milk lol.... thanks for the correction then... but realistically, i can see nelson putting him into a PF position if he had him... whether that happens or not is another story...

Joey is 6'7 with a 6'9 wingspan.

His brother is an inch shorter.

Holy crap this is an amzing trade. Don't think it will happen though but I'd love to see it go through. Good back-up PG and a wing with potential

The only reason why I remember that is because I remember the report coming out with the listing of 6'5" and a lot of people on the message boards were freaking out.
