Jazz Rumor: Utah Jazz likely to get rid of either Millsap or Jefferson before the deadline

Man, Raptors need to get on that. I like both Jefferson and Millsap's game, but if I had to choose between the two, I would love to have Jefferson on this team.

Nevertheless, both these players are good and could use either one of them on this team.

How likely is it that we can snag one of these players?

Wouldn't we need to do a sign and trade with jazz for millsap?

but millsap is a small PF though, he's like Amir Johnson. there needs to be more size in the low post, which is why I say let's go after Jefferson!!

I believe both are on expiring contracts. No point in trading for them unless you get them first to agree to signing with the Raptors.

True but, Al Jefferson has played in cold small-market teams like Utah and Minnesota, I'm sure he'll be happy with Toronto if we ever pick him up.

Please posts links if you're going to start new threads like this. Without them, we have no way of knowing where you heard this. It's nice to know if this is coming from a credible news outlet/reporter, or just some blog from a random internet fan.

my bad, I read this on hoopshype, I'll be sure to post a link next time. It turns out the Jazz are more interested in trading Millsap than Jefferson.

Heck, Toronto might seem like a sunny paradise since his Boston days!

We'd need a third team to get that done since Utah wouldn't want Bargs (they have enough bigs already)....

Too bad the Hornets already have Anderson... an Eric Gordon/Bargs/Millsap or Al trade might have worked nicely.

He's as big as boozer. Geez. He's a guy that's short at the four but he's got size to compete there and some quickness to sometimes play a bit of three. Rudy is more exception than the rule... and think how we ran with Landry or AA at the four for stretches....

Millsap is a PF.

The only time he plays the 3 is when Utah is trying to create matchup problems.

WHatsup with everyone saying guys are undersized. I've seen Ersan and Millsap called small forwards in the last week.

I would take Milsap....he may be 6'8" but he has a 7'1" wingspan to compensate and he can hit a 3. Milsap would be a beast here and he can mentor JV:

KL/DD/Gay/Milsap/JV - makes me salivate with the potential match-up issues that can come from these 5

He made 30 3s in a 7 year career. Last time he made a 3 pointer this season was months ago! He doesn't hit 3s

Milsap is a 36% shooter from 3 this year and yes that equates to 12 of 33. He doesn't shoot them often but he can make them - he's been increasing his attempts every year. Just the threat of his ability to make 3's will stretch the defense more.

year 1) 1-3
year 2) 0-4
year 3) 0-4
year 4) 1-9
year 5) 9-23
year 6) 7-31
this year already) 12-33

Milsap is evolving his offensive game which I really like. I would take him over Jefferson or Ilyasova, Smith (whom really I just don't like), etc
