The rumor in Europe is that the Toronto Raptors have been scouting Vassilis Spanoulis, even having senior level team officials personally attend his games in Europe.

The rumor is that the Raptors plan to pursue Spanoulis in the summer of 2013, as he is currently in the last year of his contract with the Euroleague club Olympiacos Piraeus. The Raptors, according to the rumors, supposedly would like Spanoulis to replace Jose Calderon.

Spanoulis, a point guard, is largely considered to be the best player on the European continent. He is one of only four players in history to win multiple Euroleague Final Four MVP awards, which is the most prestigious individual award in European basketball.

He looked like shit in the NBA with Houston. Its low risk high reward I guess as long as its a reasonable contract.

As a backup i doubt he'd be expensive. If true it would appear that BC has either been told by Jose that he wants out asap, or he has no intention on re-signing him after the season.

Unless he's 3rd PG behind Lucas he's not worth to be considered. The guy is no good for NBA

I'm not saying Kirilenko is hot or anything, he's my favorite player though. You could find only one bad picture of Kirilenko in google pics search, that u posted, but you can find hundreds of ugly Spanoulis pictures and only few that he looks like a decent guy.
