I understand every fan is wishing for the best, but this slating of Rudy is ridiculous! even more ridiculous to compare him to Bargnani, who's working his magic on the knicks now for all to see..

Rudy gets a bad rap. Not once did Casey, the head coach, do anything to dissuade him from what he was doing on the court. I bet we'll see a better Rudy in Sactown with all of the attention Cousins draws, and I think he'll be a nice fit next to a rejuvenated Derrick Williams.

Pretty much. IMO Casey just kept saying feed Rudy and Demar and play through them. Even when Gay was having an off night shooting wise, who was Casey drawing up plays for late in games?

Just a thought and not really directed to you per se. If you draw it up for say DeMar what does that do to any potential team chemistry?

It was no secret that when Gay was brought in, he was brought in with the mindset (and fed to him by the previous regime) that he was the man. You begin taking that away from him, I truly begin to think that you have some reverberating effects across the board.

On top of that, you already saw elements of Rudy just not giving a shit. Just go through the game threads and I believe LX has pointed it out several times, where he just gave up defensively. Not getting beat. Giving up. Completely.

This was the wrong situation to bring him in.

How does that explain his lack of effort on defence?

I remember how excited I was to have Rudy come to this team back in February.

But Casey is also inept in creating O. I love the guy to death, but he's defficient on that front
All he knows is that he "has to go with the man". It meant AB before, then Rudy, now DeMar?
it's just lucky DD IS daMan!

I don't really care what Rudy was told or who was calling the plays. At some point, an NBA veteran and an appointed leader of a young team should have taken it upon himself to involve others more, especially since his shot has completely deserted him in Toronto. He can blame whomever he pleases, but a good hard look in the mirror might do him some good.

In fact, being traded twice in less than a year has got to be a wake up call. I have nothing against Gay as a person, so I hope he takes this opportunity to realize what he is doing wrong and turn his rapidly declining career around.

I'm rather intuitive.

You're right, I don't know it, but everything I've seen and heard makes me believe it.... and it's not a lie if you believe it to be true!

Maybe Casey got spoiled watching a player like Nowitzki. There aren't many players in the league you can just hand the ball off to, send everybody else to the other side of the court and expect something good to happen. Even Lebron can't do that (see first season in Miami).

I don't like Rudy's game, but the offense was pretty much give him the ball and let him create a tough shot. They could have at least created an better offensive scheme were Demar and Rudy are still the guys getting the majority of the shots.

The statement makes no sense lol.. You're numbers are supposed to get better with a bad team :s the team was 0-7 when he got shot 20 FGA or over.

Yup despite his shooting woes he is still one of the best SF to play for the Raps in a small amount of time...

I wanted him to work out here period. It just didn't happen.
