I can't understand why would anybody boo him, he played the way he always did and here was put in a situation he didn't know how to handle. Casey or himself or whoever thought he could be an offensive leader which he clearly wasn't. Will be interested to see how he does in Sacramento where he should not need to create too much offense. If he keeps being selfish, then he'll run out of excuses.

Sacramento may have just hit a rough patch.

Funny thing is, if Rudy would have specifically focused on lock-down defense and being an opportunist and team player instead of an eager chucker, this team would have been .500 and in no man's land.

Thanks, Rudy.

He was good last season? Were we watching the same player?

He had the EXACT same tendencies last season as he did this season. I stopped watching last season because of him and his ability to be the biggest black hole on this team since Keon Clark. He stopped play repeatedly. I remember being at the Pacers game last season and being just so frustrated that my wife and I thought about leaving early.

The only reason his performance is more pronounced this year is because expectations were higher (?) and he was more on display.

woah woah Claudius... you thought Keon Clark was a black hole?

As for Rudy. Of course. He had a nice few games to start his Raptors time and a couple good ones later on, but he was horrible for much of his time here last year. I remember all the talk about the eye surgery was in respone to how overall not good he was. To quote Roger Clemens i think Jeff misremembers.

He started off playing well, hit a couple game winners, and the final 12 Games he averaged 19.5ppg/6rpg wile shooting 48/50/80. And the team won 9 of those games. He had an overall 44 FG% the three months he was here last season.

I knew that would get someone

Yep. I liked the guy as much as the next one, but watch some of his games, and the second he got the ball he was looking to score. Offence =halted. Kinda like Hansborough now. I mean, how many times would he get the ball about 15 ft. out on the wing and just say, fuck it, I'm driving. Not to say it didn't work (look at some of his dunks and they all start the same way), but if you were passing to him there you weren't getting the ball back.

haha it's a little hard for me to have this debate on account that it was so long ago, but i definitely don't remember Keon as an offensive player who would demand the ball that much. As for general lack of ball movement and iso's, team had a complete dinosaur of a coach who pretty much had no plays. Give the ball to Vince and that was it. I maintain that the team coached themselves.

Obviously he had dyslexia. He meant to say " The team went through a rough patch with me in Toronto"

So, you're only looking at the stats ....? Statistically, fine. I'll give you that.

But those tendencies to stop play, existed then and that's my point. I think we're talking apples and oranges here.

Oh i agree, he was far from perfect last year when he came here and was a ball stopper. But not like he was this season, he played far better last season and the team won games once he came here. To me there were more positives with him last season over what we saw this season.

I'm sad it didn't work out. I was hoping we'd get the Rudy of the first 4-5 seasons of his career. That being said, i agree...time to move on. I'm really curious to see what Masai will do with this team.

I'll say a lot of what we saw at the end of the year was 'fool's gold'.

Mehh, to me he just looked like he used to. Obviously shooting 48/50/80 wasn't expected to continue but i was hoping that he would take that into this season and be pretty good. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

Agreed. It just seems like at times he really didn't give a shit and just wanted to pad his stats instead of playing team ball. I'm just happy he is no longer here.

Which made his banning of the stat sheets all the more hilarious.
