You have a short memory or a selective memory - pick one.

In fact his game exactly like Demar pre-trade, with more mid range jumpshots, less free throws, layups and much less playmaking, passing. Save for fourth quarter scoring.

In fact, since he's arrived here, Demar has been better & looked like the better player, statistically.

So why are we paying 8-9 million more for a similar, worse version of a guy we already have signed on contract?

Oh yea, same reason why we have a first overall pick that has amounted to nothing for 7 years, and we lost a perennial all star going into his prime for nothing.
your hate for BC is blinding you. I understand you don't like the guy, but don't let it tarnish your logic. or maybe you actually don't have any in you, in which case, well, nothing else needs to be said

DD's improved productivity since the trade is one reason the trade has been a good one for the team. The 6-3 record since his arrival - and with quality wins against Indiana, LA Clippers, Boston - is another reason.

Gay's production needs to improve, but he has been good in many other areas. His defence is actually better than I had expected it to be.

I agree with this, Gay's presence on the floor reduces the attention DD gets. The announcers have reiterated this multiple times over and over again. Teams have to start to consider who to guard more, DD or Gay. The two seem they can play together. One thing I agree with and the stat I don't like from Gay is his shooting %. Gay's defense I find is good, but the way he shows it seems like he isn't trying or lazy. Or that may be cause I'm blind lol

This argument makes NO sense to me. By your logic, Miami should dump Dwayne Wade because they have a similar, worse version of LeBron James in him and they're paying him tons of money.

Last I checked, Basketball was played with 5 guys, and the team with the best 5 players (usually the best 1 or 2 guys) wins most of the time.

The reason we lucked out on the coup to fleece Memphis for Rudy Gay is the same reason why we got a #1 pick in a bad year with no consensus #1 guy, and the same reason we lost Chris Bosh to free agency when there were no good sign and trade deals on the table and we didn't feel like paying Bosh, who hadn't taken us anywhere, $16+ million a season for the next half decade. Huh??

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ if i could +1 that i would. its ridiculous how insecure we are. the media needs to let it go with the constant need for validation. It is beyond annoying for the player to have to answer again and again and it just makes us look sad.
