![]() how long does it take for demar to pull out his smart phone and check the box score,
maybe this is a way where rudy and demar can shoot more and not get the teammates all pissed off anyways media should asking all stats related questions all the damn time just to piss the Raptors off, it would be to funny |

![]() Its done so no player looks at stat sheet in puzzlement over minute allocation by Casey
To avoid seeing something like JV 5-5 8 rebounds, 3 minutes in 2nd half Or Hansborough -7, Steve Novak +15... what? |

![]() So the guy plays sick, missed shootaround, trying to catch his breath during the game. When the game is on the line, he scores the team's last nine points during crunch time. That shows leadership on the court, and some posters complain about his FG%. Get a life. It was a good article, but the original poster left out the ending of the article:
"DeMar DeRozan had a big first half allowing Gay to ease into the game and figure out what he was capable of doing given his unhealthy state. In the fourth, when DeRozan started to falter it was Gay who picked it up scoring with 11 in the fourth quarter to help seal the win. Both men ended up with 17 on the night but that number was irrelevant as far as Gay was concerned. The Raptors got win No. 6 and that was the only number that mattered. And he didn’t need a scoresheet to tell him that." Last edited by RAPMAN; 11-26-2013 at 02:03 AM. |

![]() Leadership is about walking the talk .... 100% of the time ... NOT SOMETIMES.
Rudy is talking (that's okay) ... can he 100% do the walk? He clearly has the talent, not sure he understands how influential his play can be if he consistently plays good team ball. I'm hoping he matures. He has the ability to be a very effective defender and has the ability to get some serious assists ... He needs to stop forcing his shots and turnovers when he keeps the ball low on his dribbles or on double teams. Can he improve and be consistent? |

but you have to admit the irony of this situation (as has been pointed out by many) is pretty funny. My first instinct when i read the headline was to be cynical as well. |

Preach it, brother. Gay needs to learn he'll get his points a lot easier when he's not forcing his game, and his team is fighting for scraps (bad shots). |

Hey Rudy.... how about you can the empty gestures and just... you know... look to PASS the ball more rather than jacking it up 20+ times a game. I don't see it that way at all. Give JV and Lowry Rudy's shots.... perhaps Ross and Novak too. |

![]() That's not all that surprising. Rudy Gay isn't a franchise player nor a leader. How does the team become more united by this? He's probably heard one too many, "We lost because you don't pass the fucking ball and jack up as many shots as possible" arguments..
It really doesn't matter if he's clutch. We wouldn't even have needed him to be clutch in those games had he distributed the ball more and didn't attempt and miss so many shots, in the first place. |
