![]() Ugh ... JO playing soft is something we definitely won't benefit from. I hope JO doesn't change too much what made him successful.

![]() I haven't watched many (or any) Pacers games lately but I have heard people say that he's falling more and more in love with the jumpshot but that's probably because he was playing on one leg. Hopefully it's not a trend and that now that he's supposedly healthy maybe he'll be willing to bang a little bit. As long as he stays on the court through the playoffs I'm happy. He'll definitely be an improvement over Rasho and I'm sure come playoff time he'd be willing to do the dirty work.

I've heard broadcasters say he was soft and disapears in the 4th quarter quite a few times anyway. But i said this the other day,JO is playing for his next contract (Maybe his last) starting this season. And often times as a large contract starts winding down they start playing like they deserve their large paycheck.JO will have a good season IMO.

![]() I don't think he's playing for a contract this season. He could get extended next summer but I very highly doubt it because he's so valuable as a $20mil expiring contract and has such health concerns. Next season he'll be playing for a contract. This year is more to show if he can stay healthy and still contribute.

![]() And even if he disappears in the 4th quarter its not that big of an issue because we have lots of offensive weapons. If healthy, JO will always be considered a threat by opposing defenses. Even if he's struggling he's not a liability on offense and can help provide open looks for teammates. Let CB4 score in crunch time if JO can't get it done, he can still control a game on the defensive end. As long as he's blocking shots and drawing charges, we'll be fine.

![]() This is the common complaint with all/most superstars bigs, the same has been said about CB4, Garnett etc. The reality is that at the end of games, opposing teams will pack the middle when playing against a player like that, making it very difficult to score. That's why we will need at some point a star wing, exactly for those moments.

![]() Hell, offensively I don't care what he does. He can disappear all he wants on the offensive front. It's all about his focus on the defensive end. If he disappears on the defensive end during the end of games then I'll be concerned. However, because we really haven't had a problem scoring, I'm not concerned if he "disappears".

![]() When he was playing at around 100 percent healthy, he could impact any game in crunch time. The beautiful thing about this guy is that he knows it's not just about filling the net. Now whether that knowledge can pay-off is what we'll have to see, along with how much he is able to click with the other four guys on the court.

Don't take him like some offensively challenged shitbox. He's a good scorer and he will score. |

![]() JO is here for defense first, offense second. he's supposed to anchor down the post on defense, grab some rebounds, and challenge some shots. on offense we're just hoping he fits and stays near the basket.
i still look at this team w/o a second option because thats how little i expect from JO offensively. yes, he has the ability to score 20 point a game there's no denying that. i just want his energy spent on the other side of the floor. |

![]() I said that this season is about staying healthy for him, just that its not a contract year (cuz theres no way he gets extended next summer) so he doesnt necessarily have to try and dominate, especially with so much firepower on the team. I definitely agree that hes gotta prove that he can stay relatively healthy to get a decent contract in 2 years, but I was talking more about from a performance aspect this season his contract wont really affect his play. By all rights he should be really motivated this season anyway regardless of his contract situation so its not really even worth discussing.

I don't agree with him either but I understand what he's saying. At the same time though Charlie Rosen is always hard on the Raptors so there is no surprise here. |
