rookie-soph game

From ESPN's preview:

The first part is gold, the second is laughable.

He is hugely talented on offense and has no problem with tough play, though I doubt we'll see much toughness inside in this game.

Dr. J. Naismith 02-15-2008 04:28 PM

haha .... should be a fun game tonight. Hoping that Bargs and Moon have strong performances this evening. :)

raptor123 02-15-2008 04:49 PM

I hope so too Doc. Moon better take it the hole tonight, its show time for him. Bargnani better be alittle selfish tonight and also take the ball to the hole tonight. Hope these guys put on a show for nba fans and make our organization proud.

moremilk 02-15-2008 09:02 PM

10?

Belsius 02-15-2008 09:58 PM

Gibson with 7 3s in ten minutes.

Lebron is defintly retarded BTW.

Belsius 02-15-2008 10:58 PM

11 three thats pretty impressive, most of them were uncontested though.

Dr. J. Naismith 02-15-2008 11:07 PM

LeBron is an attention whore. He couldn't let Boobie have his couple minutes in the spotlight when being interviewed at halftime by Craig Sager. He had to come interfere. As well LeBron's reaction on the sidelines when Boobie was hitting those threes. What an idiot. :cwm34:

Belsius 02-15-2008 11:11 PM

Didnt Lebron push Moon, when Moon was going to congratulate Gibson in that interview?

Dr. J. Naismith 02-15-2008 11:12 PM

Yup, and continued to flap his gums. :cwm34:

LeBron's annoyes me as you can tell. :grrr:

Belsius 02-15-2008 11:17 PM

Navarro had his two minutes. He scored 14 points in 3 minutes lol. On halftime He said he only wanted to make one of his layups and maybe a three. He got a lot in the end.
Jamario looked like he was having a great time.

Dr. J. Naismith 02-15-2008 11:19 PM

Yeah, Jamario and Sean Williams were chummy the entire time. Williams had that sick dunk he threw to himself too. That'll be on all the highlight reels tonight. :clapping:

Ball Don't Lie 02-16-2008 01:29 PM

Rondo and Bargs, and Moon and Williams had good chemistry. Besides that, meh.

Torontosaurus 02-16-2008 01:38 PM

Anyone know the box score info for Bargs and Moon? I haven't been able to find it, although it might be atrocious. I know it don't count for anything, but just curious.

On the game- I cant count the number of times I shouted "Durant sucks!" I thought he was really chucking it with a terrible percentage. I knew he was going to shoot the ball even before he got it. Anyone got his stats for the night?

Raptorman 02-16-2008 01:58 PM

Durant is only 19 and is being asked to be the savior of a lame-duck franchise.

I think I'll give him a year or three before the hate starts.

Dr. J. Naismith 02-16-2008 02:26 PM

Check out this pic of Moon. :clapping:

I'll cut Durant some slack considering he's got the entire franchise on his shoulders. He may shoot a ton, but within time he'll find his groove. He and Green are going to be a scarey tandem for years to come. :)

Anyhow Torontosaurus, I can't find any boxscores anywhere but I have found a couple articles from last night. This was from TSN:

Kevin Durant, the No. 2 pick in the draft, scored 23 points for the rookies. Al Horford had 19, while the Nets' Sean Williams finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Raptors centre Andrea Bargnani had eight points for the sophomores, while forward Jamario Moon finished with 13 points and two rebounds for the rookies.

haha ... I forgot about that. He and Williams were having too much fun especially from the bench last night. I recall seeing a couple times while sitting on the bench, both Sean and Jamario pretending to make a steal from where they were. :)
