There are too many complications with lower bowl for the size of this event. Things like availability of tickets & cost control.

If it were Detroit, I might have been down, but Boston is just a touch too far away for my liking. Thanks for trying to set this up though, Ping. It's a good idea.

For those interested we have 1 big hurdle to overcome. Since I am organizing this event on my own I need to know if everyone would be willing to make their payments to me. The best I can offer as assurance that this is not some type of scam is my cell #, email & Facebook account. Add me, msg me, make sure it's me and if it's a scam make a hate group and come kick my ass . If not please suggest a way for me to be able to collect funds prior to the event that everyone is comfortable with.

With an event like this I would definitely request for a 50% deposit a few months prior to the event and then the rest approx 1 month before the game. Fees would be non-refundable but transferable. This has to be enforced strictly since prices are based on group rates.

Just as an added note. In case you're wondering, this is not an event for me to make money. At most I will have a free trip for myself. Any extra money left over as "back-up" cash would be used to enhance this event (ie: prizes, booze) The purpose of this trip is just to have a good time and to show those lovely Americans what this small market is all about

But I don't know ping, I can get a 12th row for 130 per seat. One night or even 2 night stay with 4 people should be $50 each. Car pool with gas I guess is $50 dollars each? I'll see you guys in boston

P.S- We will be wearing red!

According to the Celtics representitive I was speaking to all lower bowl tickets are taken by season ticket holders. So any tickets that may be available are season ticket holders reselling them which would be impossible to get over 50 seats in the same vicinity.

As for the price, factor in the exchange rate and taxes and your figures arent too far off from mine .

The difference is the experience. If you don't mind driving for 9 hours and prefer a more intimate road trip, to all their own. But what I'm trying to organize is a group event where you don't have to worry about anything other than your own meals. Keep in mind the price includes a driver and his accomedations. And as I mentioned any extra money will be spent on prizes/booze/etc. I have to add buffer room in case people bail last minute or we face any unexpected fees.

You're being a bit of a sh!t, iRaptor. Since I have organized such an excursion, I know all the work and tedious details that go into it. Ping is doing a lot of work for simply "a good time". If there is a profit being made, it isnt much and certainly not worth all this effort.

Sounds like it is a "go" , Ping. I'm going to send it around to my buddies and see what I can get. BTW, I have a major Celtics fan that is a good friend. He dresses all up and stuff. He might come and we can boo the living crap out of him.

First of let me start off by saying im not a shit. Go to stubhub and check out the prices yourself. Raptors are not considered a non premium game, trust me u can get 10 seats in a row! 50 is a diff story, i didn't think 50 people were coming but if they were good luck .

As I mentioned, to all there own. A road trip in a single car with a few buddies is a totally different experience. It's like a small house party vs going to a club. What ever rocks your boat.

Once the trip is confirmed I'll be applying for group rates for restaurants/clubs/etc. Some of which might also be included but can't confirm that just yet until I get some final figures. but you get the point. 2 different experiences.

I would so be down for this if I lived in the East Coast. I've done this many of times when the Sonics were still here. Except we didn't spend the night becuase the trip to Seattle was only a little over 2 hours. In total our ticket for upper bowl and coach bus ride there and back was $60.

Great idea and plan Ping!

I agree if I was on the East coast I would be all over it.

Here on the west coast it is now a 6 hour journey to see the Trailblazers play and it really isn't an attractive options as Portland is a shithole. Oregon does have some nice places but i doubt i will see another live NBA game until I fly somewhere else on business.

I hope you guys have a blast!
