Nets RJ to Toronto?

Pipe dream, but would do it in heartbeat if it was actually doable. No way New jersey would make such a deal though.

As for RJ? “If they traded me within the division,” he tells D’Alessandro. “I’d kill them four times a year”.

Hell no, he's a punk just like Wince. A good player sure, but a hog and a punk. No effin way man.

and plus why would he want to come to Toronto? The way the team is goin right now, we arent exactly contending.

How do you figure he's a punk? I would love to have RJ in TO.

Hate to play against him but would love to have him in Toronto.

I think he is gay though...not that it matters.

They say that one in every ten people are gay, so that means there's probably already one on the Raps...not that it matters.

And Jefferson would be a great addition, although I'm not ready to give up on Bargs just yet.

Since his surgery RJ is not a player he once was... I would be scared to trade for him... he might end up being another Ben Wallace once he signed with Chicago...

I agree with one of the earlier notions mentioned in this thread. I think it's far too early to give up on Andrea. If the right trade comes along then yes, I consider it. Hell, I'd consider the right trade for Bosh. But, RJ is not the player I would target. He's lost a step or two in the past few years. Again, if we could somehow pry Howard away and involve Andrea I would think of that first. Dallas would likely love Andrea b/c it would give him a chance to learn from a player with a very similar skill set and then well, who knows.

I wouldn't be a fan of this. RJ's intensity is on/off and he is easy to get off his game. Just not a mentally tough player.

My thoughts exactly. I think there's still a chance for Bargnani to improve a lot more over the summer. It's risky holding onto him because we don't know how he'll perform next season, but I wouldn't sacrifice it for RJ.

RJ is good. He used to be really good at least.

But i've got to agree with you guys who wouldn't want to give up on Bargnani yet. The kid has had a rough season, no doubt, but there's something about him that still has me keeping hope.

Sorry, I'm one of those guys would give up on Andrea, especially if it were for Jefferson. 28 years old, locked in for another 3 seasons after this one, and still wouldn't have to give up TJ Ford/Calderon.

Gives us the wing player we sorely need that can score. Sorry guys, I'd be all over this deal if it were presented to me. RJ is a proven commodity. Bargnani isn't.

+1

I'm with you Hoops. That being said I'm also willing to eat crow if Bargnani shows us otherwise. I just don't have faith or am as optimistic as many others are here.

truthfully, i've lost all hope for bargnani... the guy has regressed into a chucker who cant do anything else but jack up shots and run around aimlessly.

if we could pull jefferson for bargnani, i'd wet my pants.

bargs, whether or not he has the potential to be a star - wont become one here. he may be a star one day, but it will not be in a raps uni.
jefferson, on the other hand would flourish here... his work ethic and tenacity is exactly what this team needs.
we need more talkative, aggressive, team players... Bargs doesnt look like he says a word to anyone.
i really hope he's traded this offseason where he does have some value. because another year playing in toronto, his value wont be worth shit.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if this gets done. The Nets want to go in a different direction, They'd want to clear cap space ASAP and build around Harris.
