Rivalries?

As raptor fans, what team would you consider your greatest rival. It could be now or through the years from the early franchise days. Just curious.

naww, I would say NY over the years man..but ya...we don't have one right now.

You need to be good to have rivals.

our rivals are the thunders and the other teams that suck.

I think forum members would also agree that NY has been our biggest rivals, I still remember the CV Vs. Frye debates...ohh silly us.

and how Isiah was gonna heal the planet and win them rings, season after season.

Even NY doesnt have rivals anymore, cause they also suck.

It's funny because, different fans of different teams have different ideas of who there rivals are. Like right now, most Raptors fans would say the Nets. But as a Nets fan, we say the Knicks.

I'd say the Nets, the games have gone both ways over the years. Maybe the Magic. Basically every team we've played in the playoffs

It was NY back in the day, although we were hardly New Yorks biggest rival at the time. A rivalry has to work both ways doesn't it? That being said, it's definitely been New Jersey, and it's only a rivalry because of one man.
Milwaukee could be a rivalry, but their needs to be some important games to bring out some bad blood. We were kind of developing a rivalry with the Magic, but that's gone to shit this year because we're nowhere near their league.

Our rivalries should be the Magic and Cavs. Unfortunately, it's the Nets and Bucks.

Wait a minute, Nets has more than one fan????????????????????

Your arena is empty as fuck man, you guys need to actually go to the games or something to be considered a "fan". I still think its amazing how they have fake cheers via the sound system. And they got "half amazing" in there too.

Hey, im a season ticket holder, ive been a loyal fan since the stephon marbury days when they were THE worst team in the league. Its been disapointing to see the way attendence has gone down. In the glory days with Kidd/Martin it was sold out almost every game.

you guys really dont think over the time, the 76ers have been our rivals, i mean look at the history!

VC misses the shot
bosh for three!

and many other things i cant remeber, also we've always been equal with them.

it goes for me;
1. philly
2. nets
3. NY

DH34- I'm curious about how you feel about the rumors of your team moving to Brooklyn. It seems to be on again off again as I've also heard about the possibility of moving to Newark to share the Devils new building.

Im against the brooklyn move because I want a franchise in jersey other then Hockey. I wouldnt mind them moving with the devils though. I HATE the owner Ratner. If they move to brooklyn ill just watch the games on tv.

Plus, the owner is in debt. The whole reason the nets were going to move VC was because they couldnt afford keeping him. Ratner was pushing it, which would of really pissed me off spending for season tickets and without him it's pointless to watch. Ratner seems dedicated for the brooklyn move but im keeping my fingers crossed.

What is JZ's ownership stake and how much of the Brooklyn move involves him? I heard they're having major difficulties getting the arena sorted out there. Also, I was under the impression that the move was part of the plan to lure Lebron in 2010.
