So damn proud of the Raptors this season, nobody believed in us and the players shut them up, sure we lost first round but in 7 games against a veteran 180mill team with two future hof'ers. Our fans were the best in the playoffs, i think this year was a turning point for a winning future.

Basketball is back in toronto.

The roots are in the ground, as Casey has said.

I have no doubt that this beginning of something special. The playoff crowd and the resiliency of this team have caught the attention of the league. For once, since I have become a a raptors, ignorant US reporters are shallowing their words about free agents not wanting to play in Toronto.

I really hope so. I remember after the 2006-07 season thinking that. Totally different team but still in the back of my mind. I think that this being special going forward hinges on us re-signing Lowry. And to a lesser extent PP/GV.

Loved seeing Lowry still in his uniform for the post-game interviews. It doesn't look like he is going anywhere anytime soon. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. Hard not to love these guys.

I do have to admit the smallest things between those two teams are shockingly similar. The difference that I'm most confident in has to be a passionate vs a sleezy corporate , it starts from the top. The chest bump with Lowry I think after a game got me truly on board.

If there's anyway for a 3rd seed to fall short is a game winning shot vs an experienced nets team in game 7 as opposed to trialling the entire series.

On another note, I'm i the only one happy we had a proud finish as opposed to an embarrassing meltdown like the leafs It was great to have fans in the square clap instead of weep lol

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I think Demar may believe Lowry is coming back. The usual line whe asked is, I don't know or we'll see. In his post-game when asked, Demar said he is not worried about it and when pressed, said, "why wouldn't he come back?" You'd think a guy that close to Lowry would have more than an inkling of Lowry's intentions in all of their internal conversations.

Personally I feel like Lowry's going to be back. He's finally found a place where he's been successful for an extended period of time and the fans like him. Having Alvin Williams as part of the Raptors family doesn't hurt it either.

I just hope this is not the modern day VC/T-Mac situation where Demar thinks the two of them are building something here and Lowry decides to jet off to some American team that lets him shoot every shot in the game if he wants. I know the chances are less because frankly Demar is no VC in terms of stardom and Lowry's had every opportunity here, but I feel like feelings could get hurt the same way if it happened.
