You think Pietrus would have been a bench player on this team?

Didn't really see the reason for such a pietrus hype anyway. He showed nothing remarkable last season..
7 points and 2 rebounds a game.
But yeah, the grass is greener on the other side. Oh my god, he could have been a leader in raptors, right? What a loss!

It's amazing how quick people sour on players.

It's Matt Barnes all over again!

Pietrus would've been nice, but he would have just taken minutes away from JJ. Butler and Forbes can both stick an open 3, which is what the team was lacking.

Pietrus would've been a bench player next season, this year, if healthy, he would've *maybe* fought for minutes with Kleiza/JJ.

If he failed his physical, no biggie. Good player, but if he isn't healthy then he's not worth. Rasual Butler offers some of the same things and is a depth player just like Pietrus. Good vet, decent player (nothing special), I'm not torn about it.

Now, sign Aaron Gary (if healthy) and I'll be happy (last thing I want is Dalembert here. ugh).

Big deal JJ is nice but he's not our SF of the future or anything.

meh.. i dont see why people were so big on pietrus in the first place. he's just another run of the mill journeyman... he's never stuck on a team, never done anything successful in his career.
he's had a few good games here and there, but if the deal was in place, and all of a sudden gets pulled - there must be a good reason for it. and if that reason is that he failed his physical (which im guessing is the case), then im glad we didnt grab another injury laden player.
butler can add some 3 point offense off the bench, and forbes gives us a good defensive player who can come in and throw his body around.

AW, as much as it would have been awesome to have him here, I guess the bright side is we keep our second pick and JJ or Klieza gets to show us what they got and if they are worth keeping

again guys this is a jam packed season with back-to-back-to-backs, might as well give some d-leaguers some serious burn and make them try and prove themselves worthy for the nba level. if not who cares? we head straight to the draft. not every player on a nba roster is going to average 15 points per game.

He would definitly be bench. POssibly third off the bench, or if we were looking for a baseline spot up shooter on the 3 point line.

I agree. A lot of people are saying that our expected starters/regulars will have minutes displaced but really I think we're bringing in these extra guys so that the yungins don't burn themselves out rather than have a decent learning experience.

They are also going to fill some defensive holes that are likely to be glaring. Casey will be able to play these guys while holding others accountable for real.
