Thanks! Yeah, for sure! The more the merrier!

Well, I like Pietrus and yep I too would have liked to see him here a few years ago. Oh well, I still like it and it's 1 year. BC did say he might facilitate a trade at the last conference, having a bunch of expiring is a good thing and not for a potential team ready to contend but maybe for a team that hasn't met their expectations and want to clean up their roster before the new CBA starts to kick in. Just some thinking out loud....

Call me crazy but I think that team can win 20ish games. :haha:

I would like at pg ISH SMITH a young PG with big hopes and at C i would take Aaron Gray. It's good for tanking.

im happy about the trade. Gives us more depth and security:)

bltman 12-10-2011 10:23 AM

Doug Smith now reporting that deal is likely going to fall through.

jeffb 12-10-2011 10:34 AM

well, at least we got forbes, who sounds like he could do something, but this is a bit disappointing isn't it.

the report did also say we could be looking at better options, so a move for a different well-known player could still be on?

Sounds to me Butler + 3rd PG + Centre

So unless that Centre is Dalembert it's no big name.

Gurk 12-10-2011 10:38 AM

Any sources guys?

yeah, dal would still be a fan-pleaser, not holding out too much hope for that one. Still think the depth is pretty good at SF but would've love to have seen what pietrus could do. Wonder why it's not happened. Only logical reason is to keep the cash for dal? couldn't we afford both? spose it depends what dal would want.

REALLY? BUTLER OVER PIETRUS?

b55bgc 12-10-2011 11:19 AM

If you think he will be starting you are sadly mistaken. He is a bench player. JJ or Klieza will start.

jeffb 12-10-2011 11:19 AM

We'll take tanking to a whole other level.

Pietrus :)

Forbes :face4:

Butler :(

Hense the problem. Pietrus would be our starter.

btw..

Whatever happens, it should happen soon; word overnight was a third PG, a big and a wing no later than Sunday.
3 more signings for a grand total of 5

Why didn't we just resign Weems and Dorsey if our big off season pick ups are going to be Maglore and Pietrus.

maybe u should watch hockey instead since u dont have nothing good to say.

Shifty.py 12-10-2011 11:46 AM

BC got cold feet, Pietrus could have turned us into a playoff team and no high pick

js12 12-10-2011 11:51 AM

Fuck, I am so disappointed. I would have loved to see Pietrus in a Raptor uniform. :sigh:

LKeet6 12-10-2011 11:54 AM

all we wanted to have a bit respectability for the team! A decent, well-known player who could help us lose games by only 4-8pts instead of 10-20!!

Scully 12-10-2011 11:58 AM

Doug smith is the only reporting the trade may have soured, the score still has it in their ticker as a go.
