Default Reggie Miller Takes A Shot At Kapono

Dan asked Reggie if there was a better shooter than him in the NBA. Reggie said maybe Ray Allen.

Here is the SI players poll Dan referenced to Reggie about the best shooter in recent NBA history. Reggie didn't understand why Jason Kapono was on the list. Reggie said other people belong on that list -- even Davidson's Stephen Curry.

Stephen Curry developed his shot in Toronto. Kapono is on the list from winning the 3 point shoot out thing at the All Star Weekend that is why. Fans that are casual basketball fans remember those things more then the hardcore fans.

I assumed players poll meant the players themselves chose the results.

If Kapono still played on Miami, Numb nuts wouldn't have said much. Not that i'm a kapono fan, but now i really hope he wins the 3pt competition again this season at the all-star break. I hate Reggie Miller, due to his sheer arrogance.

Percentage wise he is. But the fact is he is beyond selective, if he isn't wide open the shot doesn't go up, period. He either passes it off or steps into 2pt range. If he took 5 3's per game and can hit 2.5 of those on average over 5-10 years then i'd say yeah, but no way is he one of the best.Rediculous!

Kapono, when used right, and in the proper situation (like Miami when he was there), is a great 3 point shooter.

Reggie Miller should keep his yap shut, he might be a bit surprised to see what his actual numbers would look like if they reviewed the tapes and penalized him for all the shots he took 3-4 steps without a dribble before shooting.

Guys that got the NBA "respect/ Superstar" treatment clearly don't get it. They were offered every advantage to pad thier stats yet still walk around like the Cocks of the walk, even when they are washed up and retired.

It's sad.

actually i just checked the SI website. Yup. this poll reflects the opinions of NBA players. not fans. players.

They know more about basketball than abyone here.
because they played (at the highest level).

meh, I just don't like Miller.

He was made out to be better than he was. Not saying he wasn't good, he was, he just wasn't great, but he sure loved to make sur eeveryone spok eof him as if he were.

Reggie LOVED the spotlight.

And he travelled on every single play.

Proof to that is he goes on T.V and says only one player in the NBA currently (Allen) is a better shooter then he was. What an arrogant, ringless prick! lol

I just remember that horibly blatent and incestuous NBA love in they had with he and his Sister. It was so sickening. She just HAD to be on every telecast where her brother was playing, which, of course, was every weekend as Indy and Chicago got every single primetime NBC game.

Ridiculous.

The only time I liked Jordan when was he was putting Reggie in his place, yet Reggie never seemed to get it. If he did getit, he sure didn't show it.

Yep, and he travelled on every play. heehee

Reggie is one of the greatest of all time.

-One of the best clutch shooters of all time, if not the best.
-One of the best all time at shooting off screens. The only one in the league -right now that has that ability is Rip.
-One of the best three point shooters of all time, if not the best.
-Held his own on the defensive end of the court.
-The best player on a team full of good players that was continually competing for a NBA championship.

You may not like the guy, but he was one of the best.

Reggie is right, only Allen is better in the NBA atm, stop with the "in miami" crap... Kap didnt start there and barely played in the playoffs there, im sure the greatest shooters in history dont even start on their teams....

Kapono's shot does suck. He can'tcreate for himself and if he was the best shooter in the NBA he would be able to hit all of his shots, which he is currently not doing

As a Reggie Supporter, I believe it is safe to say that you most likely travelled while typing that post. No worried, the NBA gave you a pass.
