Reggie Evans update?

I'm just wondering what has been the latest word on Reggie's foot and when he may be able to suit up.

Last week he was at practice in sneekers but didn't do much other then take some shots. When that happened, the word was that he'd be back next month.

My buddy ran into him at the food court in the Eaton Center a week or two ago. He was eating Chinese food.

REGGIE NEWS

REGGIE NEWS

REGGIE NEWS

I know very few of you are wondering but we chatted with Reggie Evans before the game and got this update, which I will mention once now and probably about 1,000 times over the next four or five days.

Heís better.

He had an MRI on Monday, it came back clean and heís hoping to start some serious on-court work soon.

Given his level of conditioning and the fact he hasnít played a minute of basketball for two months, heís probably a month away from putting on a uniform and contributing.

As for his work during this hiatus, he told us he can work on the elliptical trainer now to keep his cardio up, heís getting in some light, shooting, can dunk, make cuts on his sore foot without any discomfort and is generally in pretty good shape.

He also said heís been getting some cardio work in at the University of Toronto pool and made it sound like itís pretty comical to see.

when guys go down like this, a foot injury, I see no idea why they can't use it as a chance to do like two months of massive work elsewhere. There are about a thousand great core strength programs he could be doing, and tonnes of things that don't affect his actual foot.

Why can't more people be like MJ, or Crosby, or Kobe, or Ovechkin. You know, guys that live and die to constantly improve.

Why not be the absolute best you can be. A guy like Reggie, minus 30-40 pounds of fat and in incredible shape, with his mentality and toughness, goes from being reggie, to being Rodman.

Oh well.

Evans effort is excellent in the pre-season, but I got to say he looked out of control too often.
Hopefully, he can come in and play some minutes and provide aggressiveness w/o hurting us with turnovers. Fingers crossed ...
