Reggie Evans?

Hi All,

First time poster long time reader.

Based off of the last 7 games and the weak rebounding, defencive rotations and lack of toughness, how much of an impact is Reggie Evans going to make on this once he comes back?

I think obviously he will make a significant difference in terms of toughness/rebounding/geting loose balls, but who's minutes is he going to take? After watching Matt Bonner blow past arugably our best defender, we need him in there contesting or cracking guys once they get in the paint. Just thinking of the Memphis and Spurs games, I think he would have helped win those games for us.

So, If we had him in there would our record be any different?

Would we still be the worst defencive team in the league. Is he going to make zero impact?

welcome to rf joedirt!

reggie will help. frankly he can take all the minutes he wants from amir and rasho if he plays with toughness and intensity. that said, until everyone on this team starts to take things seriously in terms of their commitment to one another and their effort on the court, reggie will be one man on a team full of boys. a bed-shitting like we saw last night cannot be fixed by one player. this is about team intensity and commitment, imo.

Judging from the look on Reggie's face last night from the bench, he was not a happy camper. He will defenitely help when we get him back. He can take Turk's minutes too if he play's some defense.

Bosh does his job on the defensive glass which is a huge part of defence. I wouldn't go so far as calling him a boy. Same with Wright, he takes charges and has been pretty badass out there the majority of minutes he's played this season.

But ya... everyone else is a pansy right now.

Reggie Evans is going to be huge when he's recovered. The second coming of JYD BABY!!!! He's gonna pump everyone up when he's on the floor, not to mention actually playing some defense and grabbing boards.

Energy is contagious, if you have one player working his ass off on defence and rebounding itll spread throughout the team. If youve ever played compettitive basketball you know what I mean.

He'll help, but the kind of effort Im talking about needs to happen when hes not on the floor which is more than half the game. Everyone needs to step it up.

I think people will be surprised at how much difference one player can make, both on the stat sheet and for the culture of the team. Especially with a guy as extreme as Reggie.

I believe he'll help us out a lot. He is a tough player that'll do anything to get the ball. Can't wait for him to come back

Honestly I wished we snagged Dejuan Blair somehow.

However Evans is good enough, the whole idea of energy from one guy is contagious is so true, Wade in Miami is an example and Gerald Wallace in Charlotte.
