i love how he puts rebounding as a last priority and three point shooting as a first :dead:

Here is the actual article (why not link to that?):
http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=19313 The rebounding numbers are frustrating but not a huge deal to me. What does drive me crazy is how awful he is on defense, and I haven't seen much progress in that respect. I also find it interesting that they suggest Bargnani is being a quiet leader who leads through his play. Maybe it's just me, but I would like to see some players on this team who do actually lead through their play and seem like they give a shit about the team's success. I don't mean to imply that Bargnani doesn't care, but I would like to see a leader who wants to drive the team to success and helps make the team better. A captain in the truest sense of the word. I'm not sure that this team has had that for a while. |
Most depressing thread of the season. By far.
If hes still here next year I will not go to any games. |

The point of my post being we cant be any good or even average if Bargs is our best player. I'm not paying my hard earned dollar to watch a team play with no effort and conviction. Teams take on the personality of their best player(s) and coach. And we are the worst in the NBA if you combine the two.

hate has such an irrational snowball effect.
I like how teammates value AB.... nice to see team unity. On bad teams, things are never what they seem. |
My problem with these articles is how they put emphasis on his scoring!
An average fan would only look at points and say: "yeah, he is our best player!!" I don't give a fuck about you scoring 20 points on 18 shots!! Calderon could do that as well! Hell Weems would score 20 on 18 shots! |

it doesn't matter if you score 5, 10, 15, 20,25 or 30 points. If you can't play defense, especially as the starting C, then GTFO

Our franchise player should be Ed Davis next season. Trade Jose and Bargnani for a good defensive center and fire Triano then we can fight for playoffs.

It's really old how fans of this franchise love a good witch hunt. Seems like this 'he must go' philosophy is based more on hate than rational thought. Take AB off this team and we're on a 10 year rebuild, especially if we traded him in a deal resembling Nazr Mohammed for AB, which is exactly what many of you advocate. People complain that no stars want to come here, no players want to stay here.... we have a guy that signs, wants to play here, and all we want to do is trade him. Same with Jose. If it was so easy to build a team, teams like Indiana and Philly wouldn't have been struggling so long just to be relevant. Bad teams play inconsistently. Inconsistency highlights poor play. Young teams are consistently bad. Trading away AB for bit parts would be the worst thing that could happen at this point. Triano has this team at least playing hard, with great unity and a sense of something to build towards. Why can't anyone enjoy that? If we get a great offer, fine. AB likely has more value to us at this point then in a trade though. It blows my mind that anyone here thinks Weems could be the number one scoring option on this team.... or even to suggest he could be simply to make a point that we should hate Bargnani. They are pretty much the same age, yet Weems is a young gun and Bargnani can't improve? It's irrational hate... period. Can you put your lips on it? That's what she said! |

He should be 6th man, 1st off the bench with good rotation minutes, go out and torch 2nd unit bigs with unrefined offensive games.
