I really don't think Bargnani has been that poor. I would say he's playing better than ever in terms of his overall game. He is who he is at this point.

3-13, 8 pts, 2 boards, no blocks or steals... pretty pathetic and the game would have been over if he's not playing 29 minutes.

Adding another scoring threat to the starting lineup, like Gay, makes Andrea's output more valuable off the bench, where I think he belongs. His skillset is better utilized against opposing second units offensively, and he won't be as detrimental defensively.

Why do they do this? I'm not trying to sound stupid but I'm just curious about this play in particular.
In my experience the smart people are never afraid to ask a question. Here's a video explaining hedging.

We're not watching the same games.

He's absolutely pathetic out there and if he's not hitting shots he's USELESS.

If I were Davis and Jonas I'd be pissed as hell that this guy is taking minutes from me when it looks like he doesn't even want to be out there.

poor conditioning and that injury didn't help at all in preseason, also the flu he had kind of messed his flow up in the season

thats one factor, another factor is Bargnani isn't geting the ball where he needs it to be effective, no mroe elbow setups he is always on the perimeter and when things go bad they usually throw him the ball and expect him to make a horrible shot which leads to his next shot where he just shoots it when he gets it because eh is frustrated

another factor, not paying attention seems like he doenst care at all,

there is something wrong with him though he isn't comfortable on the court anymore, dont know if its personal or just Bargs going back to his olde self

but to many fans its hard to watch

Personally I don't think he played bad last night he looked tired yes but more tired on the offensive end. I thought he played pretty good defensively.

There is a reason that Hibbert & West went 6-21 from the field, and I know it wasn't all AB but he did factor into it...

I just hope he can combine the effort on offence with the defense from like night. Much like he did to start last season.

I saw this stat under the Daily Dime on ESPN with the category Least Valuable Player:

"Least valuable player: Andrea Bargnani. He shot 3-for-13 and had eight fewer rebounds than Calderon. He is now at 36 percent shooting for the season and has just 130 points on 126 field goal attempts with just 37 rebounds."

Those extra 15 lbs during the offseason turned him into a beast!!

All I know, is that Bargnani, after a lot of talk of working hard in the offseason, looked fat and out of shape from day one.

Inexcusable

When his shot isn't falling, which it hasn't, Bargs is pathetic out there. He moves in like slow-motion half the time it's ridiculous.

Actually, all his talk was about working on fundamentals - shooting stroke, etc. Specifically not on conditioning work or getting into game shape, seemingly on the instructions of the coaching staff. So his poor shooting is disappointing, but hard to be surprised by him being out of shape. He was pretty up front about that.
