I wouldn't mind throwing Calderon in there for Ridnour, but they're probably content with keeping Ridnour and his 4 million dollar salary. I would offer Ed Davis and Linas Kleiza for Derrick Williams. They would counter with T. Ross. I don't think I would do that though.

Well Calderon's an expiring.

And he would resign on the cheap for a chance to mentor Rubio and a realistic shot at the playoffs.

Yes, Calderon's an expiring and you can argue he's better than Ridnour, but Ridnour's already giving them some good production and is already signed for next year at a reasonable 4 million. They would have to weigh the risk of Calderon walking or wanting more. On the other hand, they also have to weigh Rubio's timeline of return and could view Calderon as an upgrade. Like I said before, if they wanted Calderon, I would still do it as Ridnour would be a good back up behind Lowry at 4 million for one year. If they asked for Calderon, Ed Davis for Ridnour, Derrick Williams; I would do it.

Most realistic: Derrick Williams, Chandler, Prince, Delfino, Ariza, Salmons, Caspi, Beasley

Remote chance: Deng, T. Young, Galinari, George, Marvin Williams

Pipe dreams: Gay, Iguodala, Batum, any all star SF's

Lol, a "remote chance" at getting Marvin Williams??? Why would we want him???

From that list, I could see BC having a preference for Derrick Williams or Wilson Chandler, based on him being linked to them in the past.

Oh I don't know, a SF that can defend, give you 10-12ppg/4-5rpg and shoot 45FG%/36 3PT%. I would take him over the pile of Dung we currently have.

And I say remote chance because apparently Utah is very happy with him this season. I believe he's probably getable but it wouldn't be that easy imo.

Casspi is shooting over 50% from 3 this year, is as tall if not taller than Ed Davis and just as long and has a tough mentality... plus, he's totally kosher.

He's on the outs in Cleveland because of Gee and I think he'd be a great buy low.

you're welcome.

Okay you're right but it was still weird to see him in that company.
He's not exactly cheap at 8 million this year and 7.5 the next.
Not much of a long term solution anyway but an upgrade for sure.

I also like the idea of Casspi.

I would seriously consider Derrick Williams. Sure, he might be a tweener but we're still talking about a 2nd overall pick a year ago. If we could get him and whoever for Calderon and Ed Davis, that's a must deal. Ridnour could still be a solid backup and Williams can take up time at the 3 and some of Davis' replacement minutes at the 4.

Utah was fortunate to get him for an expiring Devin Harris. If we offered Jose Calderon, they would have taken our deal for sure.

These would be my first choices (out of the realistic guys we could get).

Both are young.

Both have the potential to get better.

Both are being underused right now and could probably be acquired for not too much.

If we were aiming for a vet I'd go with Prince.
