Re: Scott Carefoot's blog this morning

Quote:
  • Chris Bosh: Clearly exhibiting symptoms of "not-giving-a-fuckitis" — particularly on defense. I'm no longer convinced he's a Top 10 player.
  • Jermaine O'Neal: Heart and soul of this team, for whatever that's worth. Too bad the team defense and rebounding still stinks.
  • Jason Kapono: With more playing time under Jay Triano, he's proving what I've long suspected about him — when he's forced to create his own shots, his percentages go way down and his one asset is negated.
  • Andrea Bargnani: At this point, I'm pretty sure most Raptors fans have accepted the sad fact that he's a bust. So why do Matt, Jack and Leo still insist on hanging off this guy's nuts? In the last four games, he's grabbed five rebounds in 77 minutes — that's shitty for a six-footer, much less a seven-footer.
  • Joey Graham: He fell back to Earth, as I suspected he would. Could the Grahamaniacs please stop complaining that he just needs more playing time? You're embarrassing yourselves.
  • Jamario Moon: He's quietly returned to doing what he does best — hustling on defense and using his athleticism to snatch copious amounts of rebounds.
  • Bryan Colangelo: I'll grant you that he's done a subpar job shaping this team but I have a question for the people who are ready to fire him: Who would you replace him with? This is a serious question and I'd love to hear your responses in the comments. I'm pretty sure Joe Dumars and Rod Thorn aren't available, so unless you know something I don't, I'd prefer to let Colangelo try to steer this team back on the right track.

any thoughts? i was a bit shocked at first, but i can see a lot of why he would write this.

I agree with the whole thing. Especially the Bosh and the JO ones

Bosh = true, Jcrap (his real nick btw) he is pure shooting turd, not even close to best in the nba at anything but shooting when nobody else is on the court (at least he gets an award and unwarrented props for it) so i agree. Bargs is a bust, ppl dont want to accept it, move on, he will NEVER be a superstar, he will never be better then Bosh, he will never be more then a decent 6th or 7th, thats his ceiling imo. Graham, i dunno, i think he has played decently lately even without the numbers, he isnt going to be a starter in this league most likely, but im not totally giving up on him. Jamario has been better, i still dont like him and his longshots but w/e better then any options we really have, same for BC, i dont like the job he has done, but to fire him would be like firing your coach at .500 with no real plan on a decent replacement, idiotic.

Yea Chris Bosh looks like he really doesn't want to be here, but to say Jamario Moon is doing what is expected? wow, that alone is shocking to me...

Last night's game was a tough loss.

We came back from being down 16 pts. And had Kapono hit one of his two missed open 3pt shots in a final possession, it would have given us the lead.

I find funny that he long suspected and just realized that Kapono cant creat his own shot. I though everyone already new.
Jamario Moon is the most dissapointing player on this team.

so that makes 6 + 5 = 11 rebounds in the last 77 + 25 = 102 minutes of playing time and that is still lousy for a 7 foot guy... the top rebounders in this league are around 13 rebounds a game, Bosh is at 9.9 and at 12th. JO is grabbing 7.2 and neither is 7' tall. Bargs is not even in the top 100 rebounders and that it what BC told us was a strength of his game... sorry one 6 board game won't change that thought much...

I agree with everything but the Bargnani point - if you could call it a point.

I don't agree about Bosh at all. The guy is doing everything, and maybe feeling a lack of support all the way around. Who has been the best player leading the fast break lately? Bosh. Who has made the shots from the perimeter that the real shooters are supposed to make? Bosh. Who has been talking on both ends and trying to show some support for guys that do little in support of his efforts? Bosh. Who's about the only guy making passes that are decisive and with a purpose these days? Bosh. It's ridiculous that so much is heaped on this guy.

He is absolutely the last guy that any criticism should be directed at. No - he hasn't been a model citizen out there at all times, but for a 25 year-old he's handled himself pretty well given some pretty shitty circumstances.

Well he writes the Raptorblog. Which is even by Micheal Grange is said to be the first blog ever on the Raptors. He works for the score and writes for Court Surfing and he runs the Blog Network at the Score that I am a part of. So he is almost like my boss LOL.

Raptorman knows him and can add in anything he would like to say about Scott I have only known him a few months and feel under qualified to write his bio

Scott is a fan.

And a writer.

He shouldn't let the former affect the latter.

I like him though
