Default RC Bufford

So I was reading this article on espn about the kings moving to seattle and how they are perhaps targetting phil or rc bufford for the GM position.

Now, I know many here are desperate to amnesty bargnani, a move that could cost mlse 20+ million. What if, rather than spend that cash on a move that has little chance to make us better, we were to go after bufford with a monster offer, 10/yr over 5 years, or maybe 8/yr with a 20 million bonus if we make the finals etc? Would that have a chance of succeeding and would it be a worthwhile move?

Doubt he would leave the Spurs purely for money.

Better to spend the cash on the amnesty if we can't trade him.

I'm sure BC hasn't been working for chopped liver, so there's still plenty in the kitty for a new GM.

He is definitely up there as a judge of talent, although I don't think we know enough to say for sure whether him or Pop is the best evaluator. Regardless, he is one of the guys I'd definitely go hard after - but what makes you think he is even available?

Give the Spurs the rights to the CN Tower, all of our roster besides Val, and Justin Bieber for RC Buford.

he may be looking for a new challenge, who knows
plus, GMs are not paid like players, they make good money if they have a good, long career, but still, to be paid double is probably not something they would just look away from ... I think BC was making somewhere around 4-5 or so, and that was considered fairly expensive.

We get Ross too and that's a deal.
