Exclamation Rating the raptors defense now?

Now I'm just going to pick apart on defense for a bit and ask you guys if the Raptors really did make some improvements.

1.Pick and roll coverage?

Are we switching defensive assignments well? Has the pass to the roller most of the time is deflected? intercepted? or just that the guard who set the pick has to take a forced shot? or does the roller get to our basket and score? or end up with a foul? do we get lost during these plays?

2. Perimeter defense.

Are offenses forcing threes or shooting open ones? all players on their defensive assignments?

3. paint.

Is there more pressure in the paint? are we outscored in the paint in games or we hold paint scoring to below 20 - 25? Do players get offensive boards alot with little or no resistance? are we securing those defensive boards more? when players on the other team drive in do they get alot of and1s from us? make uncontested layups? or do they have to force kickouts? or settle for mid range jumpers?

but importantly,
Are we a presence? do players hesitate in the paint to take a shot?

4. Transition.

How much players get back during a fast break for the opposing side? are they in position properly?

(position properly like: big men ready to foul or contest or any one trying to deflect any passes or coming from behind to steal)

Does the shot get blocked or the run is stopped because of our defensive presence?

5. Forcing turnovers.

Do we do that alot? how much players are the on fast break during these times?

6. Double teams

Is the player who is double teamed in a position that he is cut off and close to impossible to pass out so either calls a time out, the play is reset or forces a turnover? What about the player who is left unguarded, does he get away with a clean pass and gets a basket? or does another player pick up the closest defensive assignment who is in danger of scoring?

and last of all...

7. heart.

Do we give a shit? are our feet active? arms up?

I know this isn't enough information but just the basics to see if our team is performing properly defensively now than in the start of the season.

thoughts?
