well, if colangelo doesn't sign nash then it's a wise move because we'll be looking at a top 5 pick in the next draft.

I think it's fairly clear that's the idea, I don't think it makes sense to bring nash to play with JJ and JV, we can probably survive JV's rookie year because, but we need serious talent at the 3 to make any noise.

8.....considering what was available.
Don't want to hear about gambling on a big. The one thing this franchise can't do anymore is gamble. And no sense picking up guys who do similar things to Ross, but can't guard their shadows.

This is not some loosey-goosey run and gun team. Those days are over. The culture is different. They picked and athletic guy who can shoot from anywhere and defend multiple positions. In the estimation of their experts with more access than us, the best player available.

I voted 3,but he gets a 1...I like Ross, just not at 8..Acy is cool...don't know much about the European player

I don't care if the Raptors plan to sign a back up PG in free agency, for the fact they took 3 Forward's and NO bloody Point Guard's again, not even one they can groom under Nash,if they're really planning to sign him. It's a joke and failure.

Colangelo has yet to draft a PG during his tenure with the Raps, lame!

If we end up with:

Nash
Derozan
Iggy,Gay,Granger or Batum
Bargnani
Valanciunas

Bench: Vet PG, Ross, JJ, Kleiza, Davis or Amir, AA, Gray

I'll be shocked to say the least. I just don't see a package we could put together that gets us one of those SF's.

Calderon, Davis, JJ, 2013 1st????

Very lame.

He went on about wanting a PG of the future and doesn't draft one, and will go after a 38yr old PG and overpay him. Great plan!

We should have at the very least taken Tayshaun Taylor w/37.

I'll wait and see. I like the Acy pick a lot though, not sure how it's going to work out with Bargs, Amir and Ed already at that position though.

Edit: I really hope we don't end up getting Nash. Save the money and pay Dragic for the love of god.

Any chances of Lowry to Toronto still? We can still use Ed Davis as trade bait.

I still say that's a possibility. Davis/2013 1st for Lowry.

He's going to be moved. Hell if not we can go after Dragic if Nash doesn't sign here.

Batum is a possibility if you REALLY overpay.

Acy will either be the next Reggie Evans/Kenneth Faried or the next PJ Tucker.

I just hope he plays mean.

Wasn't it you that posted how many PFs that Houston have? They have more than we do. A deal like that would have to make sense for both teams.

We could've dealt Drummond

I like Ross though, will be nice to see him dethrone DD

Also, I think somebody misread the raps' 37th overall selection
