Obviously it needs to be made official but here is the supposed deal, what do you think?

Out: Jose,Turkoglu, Evans

In: Barbosa, Chandler, Diaw

What do you think... thoughts?

Its still about getting better defensively and rebounding. Its good thing Chandler is in the deal.

we get rid of:
1 disgruntled/horrible contract/aging by the minute player...
1 overpaid/horrible contract/backup PG
1 10th man

and we receive:
1 scoring 6th man/possible starter
1 excellent rebounding C/injury-prone player
1 all around PF who can put up big numbers in the right situation

i like it.
it changes the whole dimension of the team... and truthfully, if we can throw out Hedo and Jose's contract in one fell swoop; i take this deal and RUN!

And one of them is in his final year, the other have 2yrs remaining. Add to that we keep our TPE. I can't see how we could have done much better.

3 solid players one of which has an expiring contract for a cancer, a loveable pylon and Reggie. Downside is we won't have Reggie to take out Bosh when we play the Heat and chances are Nash wont win a ring with Hedo.

I like the contracts we go back
A for trading those away and getting good contracts in an uncertain cap time

Like the deals, but they likely keep us out of the top 5 in terms of lottery. BC's reluctance to rebuild knows no bounds. That being said, Chandler is an expiring and Barbosa and Diaw expire before Turk and Jose, so maybe it works out for the best.

its an ok deal....but in getting rid of jose and only taking in barbosa we only have one PG less banks is going to see a big up in minutes, personally i hope we use diaw or chandler to bring in a quality PG...diaw and chandler will sap davis's minutes and i am really excited to see him develop this season

My objective 2 cents...

PROS:

-Finding a team that will take Turk, his attitude, and his ridiculous contract
-Trading Jose and his extensive contract while he still has market value
-Trading Evans who never lived up to his billing in T.O.
-Maintaining the flexibility to trade for a significant impact player in the near future by not utilizing any amount of the trade exception
-Obtaining 3 fairly significant players that will bring a combination of talent, athleticism, and interior defence
-Acquiring contracts that will expire before the CBA is renegotiated
-Finding a team that will take Turk, his attitude, and his ridiculous contract

CONS:

-Losing a fan favorite and heart and soul guy in Jose
-Slight injury concerns with Diaw
-Abundance of big men on the roster pending further roster moves
-Another offseason roster overhaul in the making that might hinder the team early in the season until the players gel

Definitely A.

We have no use for jose, turkoglu or evans. They have huge contracts and produced very little. This deal is amazing in my opinion

I thought there was a good chance we'd have to swallow some ugly contract to get something like this done. Then again - there isn't exactly tremendous talent that I also thought might accompany an ugly contract. I'll take it, call it good for now, and wait and see - it might turn out to be better than good. It's really tough - losing might be for the best, but they also really need to keep the perception of this franchise from being trashed completely.

Excellent and I'll tell you why, Jose and Turk weren't going to turn us into a championship calibre team in the next 2 years.

After that, they are old and older and I would be surprised if they are even close to worth the value of their contracts.

Now we have shorter contracts which will bring us flexibility we desperately need if we are going to try keep any top tier young talent in development (if derozan or others make it there) and if not, we have cap room to get a good player.

At this point that we are at it is all about cap flexibility and acquiring younger talent. I think this move facilitates both of those needs.

Say what we want about Collangelo, he isn't afraid to mix things up. Bargs is the only returning player who was in a Raps uniform two seasons ago!

While I like that he fixes his mistakes, I think he can be a little too trigger happy.

Let's be real here, stability is very important for success.

I understand the Bosh /Turk situation has forced his hand this time around but I dont' want to see a revolving door team in the future.

I think, like him or not, we need to hang on to Colangelo for a long time. Just accept it because I don't think we can lure a better candidate.

The next step is to get a good coach and hang on to him for a long time.

Then the proper system.

Then the proper players for that system.

Then the money.

Then the power.

Then the championships.

Then the women.
