Rasho vs Kaman?

Some very good questions in Doug Smith's blog today from his "mail bag"
Better centre, Rasho or Kaman?
Why do people go crazy for 7 footers w/range?
What makes BC a good GM?
Duhon and Roger Mason Jr possible back up candidates for Jose?
Startegy for the draft? (Big or swingman)

Rasho vs Kaman? No brainer, Kaman is six years younger and is coming into his own. IMO Kaman all the way by far!!

hmm i dont much about kaman except that he collects nba shorts. rasho is a smart player, like he sets up perfect picks and has a decent shot. from nba 08 i would say kaman lmao. 75>67

Did Smith really compare Kaman toRasho? When was the last time Rasho putup a 20+20? When healthy Kaman is a 14+11 center, rasho at his best is a 9+5 center.

I completely agree! A fan asked him who the better Centre was! He basically said if that trade was offered up(i wish) he'd take it and run!

See, I'd take Rasho because he's the vet the team needs and his deal comes off the books next week. With nearly 9 million in cap space next summer the Raps can then go out and ink another major piece to the puzzle.

Plus, don't you think Rasho's one of the more under-rated players on the Raptors? He doesn't need plays called, he doesn't yap about minutes when they fluctuate and he's always steady and reliable. For a veteran big man I don't know what else you can ask for.

No, he exercised his deal like any sane man would and hes with us til next offseason. I'll take Kaman at 11 mil over Rasho at 7 mil anyday. I'd take Kaman at max money, hes been a monster since he solved his so called ADD problem.

I think his stats last season were inflated due to Brand being out. They had no low post scored or rebounder other than Kaman.

Read the article.

A reader asked Smith who he thought was better. He said Kaman...

Kaman was putting up double double numbers WITH brand in the lineup, the year before his contract albeit but still. After seeing a feature on him about how his ADD wasnt ADD and him finding out about it this year I think that took his game to a whole other level and you could see he was more aware out there this year and Cassell wasnt yelling at him as much as other years for stupid ass mistakes. That and his post game is sick, that cant be measured by whether EB is in the lineup or not.

I told myself after Smith picked NJ and TOR to finish infront of the Celtics that I wouldnt open a link to another one of his articles. If he did say that I dunno why this thread was even made really because only Rashos mom would choose Rasho in this comparison. The only edge he has is experience and post defence which he probably wont have an edge on Kaman on in another 2 years or so. Its basically like comparing Al Jefferson to Reggie Evans IMO.

Kaman went up a couple of notches in my mind after he got rid of the skullet.
