Surprised they're not shopping Amir. I know he loves the city, but his recent spree of numbers isn't gonna last, at best he'll be the veteran presence looking forward, I'd still see what he could net.

Nope. Other than the trade deadline, and restrictions on re-trading players. Trades don't go through until the NBA office approves them, so the office might be closed for a couple days on the 24th or 25th, but that would only delay the deal, not actually prevent it from happening. Just like trades are never official on Sundays - the offices are closed, so trades go through on Monday.

I'm ok with Lowry being traded, even though he's playing well now. But, I don't want to see Demar Derozan getting traded. I see him as a Raptors for the next 2 or 3 years. I hope Masai can see that.

I just can not understand the philosophy of this organization. We have been trading players for many years - 10 - and every time it fails and even when we draft a player to be the franchise player it fails too.
What is wrong with Derozan ?
I would not trade a guy like him at all.
I think we have not had a good coach for many years. ِAfter Lenny Willkins, we have not had any solid coach.
We need a good coach.

Honestly man I think we haven't had any good coaches... Every coach we have ever had has a loosing record.

After Casey i would hope we hire a coach with a winning record, as a head coach please!!!!!!!!

I'm not big on DD, but I don't hate him either. I just think a lot here overrate him a bit (not by a large margin either) If MU deems the return a good value return or something that helps the team more than keeping him I don't see any reason not to do it. But if its just a lateral move, why bother. He's a good guy, not a bad player, and likes the city, can't ask for a ton more.

My only personal knock on em is he seems a bit weak.

The price should be high (for Derozan). He's playing VERY well. I don't know his exact stat, but he's sitting very high on the list of top scorers this season and he's pretty efficient. That better give you a better than decent return in a trade.

Much more smooth and polished offensive game. Defense is decent too.

Very likeable guy

Why? You prefer guys who aren't all stars over guys who can be MVP candidates?

Can't believe Patterson is only 24. When I first saw him I thought he a lot older.

he was our primary target that draft year, davis was supposed to go much earlier. If I recall, patterson was drafted right after davis.

Davis plays better one on one D. Patterson rotates better has better help D than anyone on the Raptors already (except maybe amir lately). I think that says alot about coaching TBH.

Yeah. Screw those young guys going to be on rookie contracts and will have years where they can get better and possibly help lift a franchise out of mediocrity. Those punks.
