say they're asking for a top 10 pick this year, would you think that's high? I mean, say you have the #7 this draft, would you trade it for goran dragic, oj mayo or brandon jennings?

a starting caliber player is not worth a lottery pick this draft, definitely not a top 10 one.

I agree demar is going to be almost untradeable, unless we're willing to get cents on a dollar, he will never get fair value in this market.

Keep Demar unless they get an offer that makes them better or they clearly win(on paper).

Trade Ross,I try to be optimistic about him but I don't see anything special about Terrence tbh. He still has some value being a recent top 10 selection so in a package with Lowry he could help fetch a good return.

To Ross defence tho,he has seen inconsistent minutes in the past and finally getting the chance to prove whether or not he could be a starter on this team or in the league. Prior to tonight's game versus the Bobcats he had been averaging 15ppg. I still don't think he's a long term solution at SF or will surpass DD as a better SG,but we'll see. I think he could help fetch a lottery pick or good starter in a package deal with Lowry, more than DD because of his rookie contract.

Well, "ideally", you want a solid playoff team get hit by injuries to their top players, finish the season really low, win the lottery and draft a franchise talent, like the Spurs lucked into Duncan in 1997. If Lowry and DD could have been talked into faking injuries for the rest of this season with impunity, Ujiri could have just done that since both players represent good-to-great value, unlike Gay. However, such "deal" is most likely illegal under the CBA and so our managent has very little wiggle room if they truly want to tank for all the marbles.

Personally, I am a huge believer in finding franchise-level talent in this draft. However, it would have been extremely nice to be able to do that without gutting the team completely. Kinda like eating the proverbial cake...

Source confirms that Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas are not being shopped by the Raptors. Both are "absolutely" safe he says.

Sounds like Klow + Derozan are the only ones being shopped.

May have to add Daye to a deal to seal it

the price should be high and there contracts are at or below fair market value,

team like OKC could use derozan off the bench, derozan in that role would be a perfect fit

Kyle Lowry could be used by many teams, I could think of 3 or 4 teams right away that would be improve immediately

hopefully by the trade deadline we'll be in prime tanking mode,

Weird. GMs are frozen in all sports right now. Open talk of players moving with specific names mentioned in all sports but no one is budging. Asik and Lowry still sitting there. Price in baseball, etc. Outside of Masai, who's been doing anything?

Sure you can. You just can't combine him with other salary to bring back a bigger salary (Salmons + DD for a 17 M dollar player). He can still be included in deals, so long as you structure them so he is bringing back a roughly equivalent salary on his own.

actually, I think we would have to slice the salmons so we can trade him piece by piece, wonder if that's allowed under the cba?
