Default Raptors Will Watch Nikos Zisis of CSKA Moscow

Hi everyone. I am from Greece and I wanted to tell the fans here something and this is my first post. The Raptors are one of my favorite teams in the NBA. I know you have the rights to the Greek player Giorgos Printezis who plays with Olympiacos, which is the same team that Josh Childress plays on.

But also I will tell you about another Greek player. It is said that your manager Colangelo will look at him very closely in the upcoming game with CSKA Moscow. He is the backup point guard of CSKA behind JR Holden the American player that played with Russia in the Olympics. It is said that Raptors have contacted his agent about him joining the team as the main backup point guard for the next season.

For some info on him, his name is Nikos Zisis. He is 25 years old and he is 6'6" and 215 lbs. He plays the point guard or shooting guard equally well. He is a natural pass first point guard though. Very good ball handler, very good shooter, excellent range on his jump shot. He is an also extremely clutch player. If you want to know more just ask me. I thought I would tell you this as now it is important as the Raptors want to see him up close in the game with CSKA. They will also be watching him in the game that CSKA plays against the Orlando Magic.

So anyway we will see, but maybe next year you will have yourselves an athletic 6-6 pure point guard. You should be able to take a look at him now to see for yourselves in the Raptors-CSKA game.

Also if you wonder Zisis was considered the best player in the Italian league and his best friend is Andrea Bargnani who was his teammate in Italy.

Welcome to RF Makris.

So, its sounds like Zisis has some great size as a PG. I'd like to see what his handles are like too as a point guard.

Sounds to me like Ukic with some experience and an added jumper down the road.

Doubt it that, was a year ago before Jack. We also ended up with Solomon instead of this Zisis so that has got to tell you Raps were not impressed by what they saw.

this has just created speculation because someone would have to be traded or gotten rid of as they have a full roster and only have rasho inked to a one year deal.

plus, jose and jack both have deals longer than 1 year. this is either complete bull shit or someone is going to be moved.

This is not related to Zisis but I will post here so as to not make a new thread. At the Olimpia and PAO game this week for Euroleague the announcers who are from Italy made claim that Vasilieos Spanoulis will play with Raptors in the next season. They did say he has agreed with them and will sign a contract for next season. He and his agent have already agreed with Colangelo.

So you will have a Greek point guard after all. But it will not be Zisis it will instead be Vasileios Spanoulis. This is very surprising because he had said before very clear he would never play to NBA league. But I guess his mind has changed. Anyway he is very good player. Much better than Zisis and actually much better than Calderon also.
