Raptors Will Do Better Next Season

I think people on this forum need to calm down...everyone is too SERIOUS..we all want the Raptors to do better and they clearly cant this year... Marion isnt going to help our situation... so lets just laugh about it... its just going to get u more upset when u set high achievements and there not met.... Lets just get a decent grab in the draft and see what happens next year

But with the Raptors it wouldnt surprise me at all if they did do worse... like were 2nd to last in the Eastern Conference and we already loss more games than we did last season...

If we could turn around the dreadful season we had prior to last and manage 47 wins.... then there is plenty of reason to be optimistic that next year can be much much better.

I'm expecting them to do better. They'll have a fresh start and a goal to redeem themselves after having such a disappointing season.

I'm excited about the offseason, can't wait to see the changes that will take place.

I remember somebody saying that Raps will be better next year, for sure... right after they got destroyed by Orlando in the playoffs last year.

Chances are Raps, next season, will be even worst then this year.. they'll lose Bosh & Marion and probably AP & Joey... and now that Knicks are saying that they want Delfino even he won't be coming back... but, not to worry, I guess... besides Jose & Bargnani... Raps will get to keep Kapono, Ukic, Banks, Bryant, Hump & Jawai... all awesome players.

If we do lose Bosh/Marion/Ap/Joey... it's not like our starting line will be ukic Calderon kapono hump bargs...

We'll free up so much cap space and get other good players. ala... ron artest etc. Unless our best players all get injured again consecutively, we'll be better next year.

we can't lose Bosh this off season. we could trade him, in which case we could get something in return, and we could lose him in 2010 to free agency. the fact is, though, he is under contract next season.

I wish we were that lucky. We will most likely get to keep all the above players, and suck even worse next season. I hope the 2010 draft will be better than 2009 ...

I still think Bosh will be traded, Marion will not stay & AP coming back is 50/50 imo

Bosh and Bargnani can't play together, they are too soft together, so we need a strong player next to one of them... Imagine Bargnani "first months 2009 version" with a rebounder and a defender... wow... a good point guard and a linear playmaker as alternative to Jose, and we will arrive in the first positions of the Conference

"Raptors Will Do Better Next Season " : Isn't this the perpetual Raptors fan attitude

this is my recipe: trade jose bring in a new starting PG, trade AP bring in a new starting SG, draft a good REAL starting center. keep Marion. sign Pops, and keep everyone else (O'bryant, Banks very optional) draft some possible 3rd string holes.

Banks very optional? He's making like 4 mil for the next couple of seasons, so I don't think he's optional.

Trade AP? He's a Free Agent.

Draft a real good starting Centre? Outside of Thabeet, there really aren't any 5 prospects.

Raptors absolutely need rebouding down low and a true center (doesnt have to score much) ...ok AP is a free agent, whatever , just get rid of him and get a younger solid SG.

I could be wrong but I think Jose's value went downhill with this season. Anycase, in my view he's the primary cause along with AP of Raptors poor play and mental mistakes this season.

A lot of people rag on AP, but he's a solid player. Without AP (say if he was injured, especially while Jose was), this team would have suffered a lot more than what they have already.

The downfall was when Mitchell was canned. This team had no gameplan, no sense of direction and it just looked like the team just quit. Everything became disorganized, it was just a mess.
