Kyle Lowry has injured left ring finger tendon. He'll require splint for approx. 6 weeks, will still practice & play: http://ow.ly/q9slD

wonder how it will affect his overall game. obviously his jump shot will be fine. but driving left and making lefty layups/floaters might be an issue.

Well at least he didn't break his bone. doesn't mean that he won't be out for a long time though. Avery Bradley also came back negative and they said he would be out "several weeks".

Trying to be optimistic though.

I think he'll be out a couple weeks. Sprained ankles usually take time, such a horrid injury for a basketball player.

think demar won't miss too many games, didn't seem too bad - he was able to run on it before the break.

As long as he's healthy enough for the ASG.

Looks like we'll be running with:

Lowry/Vasquez
Ross/Vasquez/Stone
Salmons/Novak/Daye
Amir/Patterson/Novak
Valanciunas/Hayes

All of a sudden we have DD, Fields, TH, Patterson? hurt and i don't think Salmons back is 100% either......

Yeah I know that coming from experience. It's either a day-to-day thing or week-by-week injury.

exactly. I remember few years back Dirk had an ever worse looking sprain and was supposed to be out for weeks and came back the next game. Hope it doesn't keep him out long.

Honestly, I think we'll see more of the line-ups tabled below as DC has been liking the 2 pg's on the floor together more and more - and both will probably take turns running the second unit. It also seems to preserve the bench a little more. My only concern is the minute increase for KL/GV/TR, well, KL especially...:

Lowry/Vasquez (Lowry)
Vasquez/Ross (Lowry)
Ross/Salmons
Johnson/Patterson
Jonas/Hayes

Patterson's nose was looking a little bit bent, so he may want/need to do cosmetic surgery right away.

This team isn't built for a tight 8 man rotation. Asking for another injury to occur before demar even gets back.

I think they'll throw Novak in there for about 12 minutes.
