The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday they have waived guard Anthony Carter.

Carter was signed as a free agent December 12. The 13-year NBA veteran appeared in 24 games, averaging 2.0 points, 1.4 assists and 8.4 minutes.

I sure says something the Casey would rather use Forbes as PG than Carter. What about all the veteran "knowledge" and on-court coaching? What? That was just public relations bullshit? The team is better if they don't even have AC on the bench?

I'm sick of BC. Save some money and hire a dart throwing monkey as GM.

Carter was brought in because he had played for Casey before in Minnesota and could provide some veteran leadership.

So now they want to go young and let him try and hook up with a playoff team.

Big Deal.

I need this explained to me. It sounds like pure malarkey to me.

Really?

He came in and did his job, but they're going young and this is most likely his last season, so rather than leave him to languish on the bench in Toronto, they tried to move him to a playoff team. When there wdfd no takers, they waived him and maybe a team looking to add experience at the end of the bench on the cheap for their playoff run will pick him up.

I have an impossible time imagining the playoff team that would be interested in AC. That is why it sounds like PR malarkey.
