well....lets just trade Bosh for him and couple of picks...and were even?

this thread is such a joke...we made a move in order to win that season.....we were a playoff team at that time and it was suppose to help us....it didnt work out that way.....so we have to live with it....

we can make a thread about all this as well:
we picked joey graham......over danny grange(allstar)
we picked michael bradley...michael who?.....over tony parker(finals mvp & allstar) and gilbert arenas(all star)
we picked Bosh over wade
we picked araujo over iggy....
we picked Bargs over roy...

and if you want to talk about trade....just look what we got for VC....we traded our franchise for shit all......

get my point?....if you want to win you have to take risks....that is what happened....sometimes going with your instinct pays off big or completely burns you....

and as for hibbert...he hasnt proved shit all yet.....put this thread up when he makes the all star team or leads the pacers to a championship...or even the playoffs....

Didn't the Raptors draft Hibbert in accordance with the Pacers request though? I could be wrong, but if the Raptors knew they were keeping the pick, they may have picked someone else. So, conceivably this thread would read: Raptors pass up on center of the future.

Yeah. The 2008 draft was so deep. I can understand someone being upset that the pick was included in the trade. I know I am dissapointed. However, as oneironaught correctly points out, Hibbert was likely chosen at the Pacers request. The trade negotiations preceded the draft. If BC kept the pick, there were several other good prospects still available, so he might have chosen someone else. BC likes bigs who can shoot and foreign players. I bet he would have taken Ryan Anderson or Kosta Koufos (I'm only partly joking).

can't say I know much about him, but from what I've read, hibbert is considered too slow to ever become a star. Probably has a solid career ahead, but I wouldn't call him "center of the future" ...
