Why not? If he is done playing there, the more time he is going to spend over here with his new team - the better.

LR is in Eurocup, which is second league after Euroleague. The winners of eurocup goes to Euroleague next year.
Lietuvos Rytas are doing quite well in eurocup and will possibly go far this season..

Maybe Raptors really don't like what they are seeing with how he's being played (I know i don't).
Otherwise, it would make more sense to wait a couple months and have him on the cheap till 2016 instead of 2015.

I agree. Bringing him in the 2nd half of the season would result in the team losing a year of control. Is it worth having Val play 30 games or less to gain experience but to lose a year off his rookie contract?

Why not? Play nearly half the year, get some experience under his belt for next year, work with our trainers for an extra 5 months. It's not like he's going to come over and carry us into the playoffs, I think our tank nation strategy would still be safe.

Nope. Nowhere near. And the level his team didn't make (the Euroleague play) they missed months ago. So I have no idea what the source of this rumour is, but all signs point to false.

It makes sense for him to come over now, he would get some nba experience to develop and pretty much only take away Magloires and Grays minutes.
Although if this is going to take a year off his rookie contract, as well as some kind of buyout, its better to wait til next season. He definitely wont help tank nation.
