Would have preferred Chris Wright all things considered.

......Well that's what we're looking for and you can't get anything better for practically the minimum.

Clearly the big splash is after this season. It's not like were shooting for years of 8th to 10th place finishes. All the contracts are short, harmless and moveable. And we're in position to revert to a tank instantly and collect assets while still evaluating young guys.

1. he's prolly typing on a smart phone.
2. there's a reason we're not going all in with FA signings. No money, or MU just doesn't want to commit.
3. another young player on a cheap contract which is what MU is looking for.
I'm fine with this. None of these guys are going to win us any games.

Still would have preferred Wright. But whatever, Daye won't play anyway. He's our 4th best SF behind Gay, Novak, Fields. And he's also our 4th best PF.

This is better than inviting a couple of d-leaguers to camp. Really just filling the end of the bench with a guy that could prove useful if there are injuries, and could possibly show something with his length at some point.

Of all these guys who are supposedly just above D-leaguers, I'm interested in seeing what Buycks is capable of when given a shot. I think he could end up being fun to watch if he does not get intimidated.

And MU has made sure the "fillers" are youth. Oldest guy is now Novak at 30.

I don't get the love for Chris Wright, he played decent and shot horribly in summer league against a bunch of nobodies, i'd much rather someone like Daye, neither would have seen any PT anyways

That's a minimum contract for those wondering. $947,907 this year, $1,063,384 next year. So it leaves our bi-annual for next year.

I like, because this really points towards a tank lineup after the inevitable Gay and Lowry trades. Inevitable in my deluded mind anyway.
