To be clear no one's saying that he's a top 5 PG or an all-star.... but he certainly seems to be solid enough to run our team and has a good understanding of how to play good team ball.

I find it hilarious that the Knicks didn't want to pay him, and yet they're paying Bargs' $10M+ contract right now. Gotta love Dolan.

That was the whole point of the article. Easiest way to get bad is to trade lowry. The drop off to the other pg's is crazy

"Still improving"

Up for debate. Other than that game against us, he's been largely average this season. Often times disappointing. It hasn't been the same since "Linsanity"

'Play both guard spots"

Hahaha. He struggles to defend explosive point guards, and would get eaten alive by bigger shooting guards. Nope.

"Range from deep now"

Not consistently enough to consider him a shooter. He's streaky.

"High bball IQ"

I'll give him that. He seems to have a good understanding of the game.

As far as having chemistry with Fields/Novak... I dont give a fuck. Those two are likely not part of the long term plan here in Toronto, and to use them as an excuse to bring an overpaid subpar point guard to the city would be very Colangelo-esque.

Pass.

Bang on. Beat me to it.

Lin isn't the answer, and shouldnt be a player we go after right now given out cap situation and team situation.

I get that, but that might render the other two untradeable given they'd likely be chucking even more... and possibly trying to handle the ball more....

we should have traded them before the season and before they've become exposed for what they are. Oh well.

You guys see the HOU game tonight? lol....

28/5/11 with 7 treys. (8/14 from the floor)... and game's going into OT.

TOs are still a bit of a problem.. but "flash in the pan"? I don't think so...

EDIT: Finally tally? 35/4/12 with 9 treys and 8 TOs.

pgs can never contain the other pg anyways, so if he puts effort in and plays well on offense that usually offsets and defensive issues

Hmmm.... so you're suggesting that his performance was detrimental to his team?

Interesting theory.

Bingo. CP3 is supposed to be the best defensive PG in the game and I've seen him torched by other perimeter guys DOZENS of times. Not sure why some players get passes and others don't.

Another great defensive effort by our top 10 NBA pg ... Held Conley to only 29 ... Lucky we "upgraded" our pg defense

In that case, get jose back, at least he could pass, He would avg more assists himself, than this team has had in total some nights

Oh fuck that. We went nowhere with him for 7yrs. Why does this fanbase always want to go backwards. Some want Weems back, others want Ed back now Mr. Pylon himself?

First of all he's not an upgrade at shooting, assists, free throws, experience, or attitude. So what is he an upgrading. Second he's nothing close to an easily top 10 NBA pg and will never be. Third I did watch the fucking game and maybe you should take the time to watch some too before you start running your mouth about things you know nothing about.
