Default raptors should sign Jennings

obviously the Raptors would have to get rid of some salary to get this guy signed but he is a top tier pg who had a bad playoffs

he likes to pass the ball and does it well, he play good d, and his teams do is make playoffs

the guy is just sitting out there

Gay (more talented than Durant) + Jennings (in the tier of Chris Paul) = championships

why not? He is a great 3pt shooter and scorer, I think he would fit perfectly with a defensive team that the Raps are.

1) move Jenings here
2) Ship KL for a future draft pick or prospect PF.

What? He's a good three point shooter, not great, ranking 74th in the league when you filter out small sample size guys.

He's also not a great scorer, ranking 271st in the league in TS%. Jacking 3's is pretty much the only above average efficiency scoring option he has.

Add to that his abysmal 29.1 AST% (considering his high 23% usage), ranking 38th among guards, and he is a terrible PG option.

every body say no every time we bring his name.
i don't understand.

he isn't a bad pg or anything like that.
he is less injure than Lowry, he put the same number, and he is younger.

KL numbers :
Season Team G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
12-13 TOR 68 52 29.7 0.401 0.362 0.795 0.8 3.9 4.7 6.4 1.4 0.4 2.3 3.2 11.6
Career 427 191 27.4 0.417 0.337 0.785 0.8 2.8 3.7 5.0 1.2 0.3 1.9 2.5 10.6

Jennings numbers :
Season Team G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
12-13 MIL 80 80 36.2 0.399 0.375 0.819 0.7 2.3 3.1 6.5 1.6 0.1 2.5 1.9 17.5
Career 291 289 34.6 0.394 0.354 0.813 0.7 2.7 3.4 5.7 1.5 0.2 2.4 2.0 17.0

he was in abad system, with another pg alongside him, not that easy too deal with. and he manage to put solid number.

KL for Jennings wouldn't be that bad.
now for the same contract, not for what the rumour of him asking 12M/yr.
7-8M/yr = 35M/4yrs.

I'm in for part 2. The reality is Lowry is gone next year if we can't sign him. So if there is no committment I would trade him now or WELL before the trade deadline for a 1st round pick or prospect.

Part 1? Meh... not alot of options if you trade Lowry.

I don't think adding Jennings is going to do enough for this team to justify remaining capped out.

I really like Jennings but not at $12MM/per. If salaries are equal; I take Jennings over Lowry, but it's close.

It's not close for me. I'm not a Jennings fan.

Hard to disagree with you, and I'd even say at even salary it's probably close to a coinflip for most.

I'm not a Jennings fan either. He's a shoot-first PG with an erratic outside shot. He's also extremely streaky. I would rather stick with Lowry given the differences in salary, better defender, and Lowry's familiarity with the system. Heck, I think Lowry is a slightly better, all-around player than Jennings.
