Question Raptors season opener against...

Quote:
I hear there’s a draft of the regular season schedule floating around, it’s unofficial and no one’s sure when the official one gets out but the one nugget I’ve got is:

Let’s just say the home opener will give you a chance to show your appreciation for AP and Jamario.

That’s about all I’ve got on the schedule right now.

Damn I was really hoping it was going to be against Orlando. Well now we'll get to start the season off in losing fashion, Yay

Better lose in the beginning then go on a ridiculous run after the break then last year.

I just find losing at the start of the season is a good learning experience IMO

We'll beat them in the home opener. They'll still be trying to get Shaq into shape (he'll probably be out of shape as usual) and their bench is not better then ours. Plus we'll be pumped for this home opener.

Early prediction

Cavs 101
Raps 109

i just find the raptor schedule always starts off with fairly average teams, which gets the team a win
but then the scheduler always gives us an early long west coast road trip, which basically we come back from with 1 or no wins and basically destroys our season at least till like the allstar break because it sets the team off on the wrong foot for the season
seems kind of unfair but i guess they do the schedule this way because then less teams have to come to the TO winter

You forgot moon is on the cavs and varejao is being over paid so he's gonna act like a badass instead of helping his team.
Time to bust out the salami and cheese.

i don't think this team has as many issues left. team defense will be critical, but we will present many more headaches than we will face night after night...

Probably Rasho because he's more of a better defender then Bargs IMO. Unless Triano wants Bargs to step up to the occasion.

IMO no matter who the opposing center is AB will always start. If he can't provide the defence or is in foul trouble then Rasho will come in and there is no other way he won't play his regular amount of minutes

it doesn't matter, he can't keep up with anyone we put against him... hack a shaq lives! pob has 6, rasho has 6, ab has 6, hedo has 6.. that is a lot of hits on the old guy!! i am not sure he will be as effective as people think he might be... he is old, and his feet are not doing well.. IF he were to lose about 60 pound and play at around 270, he might be more effective over 82 games, the reality is, they won't get 70 games out of shaq.

absolutely right gurk. for all the problems shaq poses for bargs, Bargs poses as many for shaq. no way you put in a backup as your starter over a guy you just signed long-term.
