Raptors Salary structure for the next 3 seasons! Very interesting.

After next season the Raptors will have 25-30 million dollars in cap space depending on the cap.

exactly - that was bryan's plan all along, to have massive capspace next summer. He would only jeopardize that if he can get an all-star player sooner, for expiring contracts. However, you can safely assume another 12+ millions for AP and Jose, and it's fair to assume that we'll use our MLE again, so we might only get ~10 or less.

Jose will be getting the same as T.J was getting and he'll be gone so you wouldn't add his salary to that. As for AP, who knows if they re-sign him. He's one of my favorites but BC may want to upgrade that Position with a better scorer!

I think you may wanna keep TJs salary in there because we may be getting Maggette which is getting payed nearly the same amount of TJ. He may use Maggette in place of AP. Unless he's resigning AP and having Moon as a 6th man.

There could be a big salary coing back this way depending on who TJ is traded for, Jose will gets 8-10 a year, Moon and or Delfino will possibly be re-signed, a draft pick here and there, we'll need a back-up and a 3rd string PG, Bargs extended, Hump's salary is not showing and should be there too...

He's worth every penny of it and it becomes a very big asset coming into this season.

At least he deserved it. He was the only one that stepped up in the end of the season. We may have missed the playoffs if it wasnt for him.

Do you guys really think he's the kind of game changer we would need? I liked him when we gave him a chance but I'm just thinking 8.4 is a bit too much. If he keeps averaging double doubles and keeps playing smart then I wouldn't mind but he's no Shaq. Just get his contract over with.

No he is not a game changer. But with nobody in this team wanting to do the dirty job he has been a life savior. I dont know anything specific about his contract except that it is probably a little too much money, but hes still is a great guy to have on your team for now.

95% of the NBA is overpaid.

Was Shaq really worth 20 million this season? Was Ben Wallace really worth 15 million? Was Adonal Foyle really worth 10 million?

Who's Shaq? Shaq is,there's no other Shaq out there ! And he makes alot more than 8.4 million, so that's not a good comparison!I honestly would rather we spend 8-10 million on a 17PPG 10RPG type of C but they don't grow on trees. And when teams get one they're extremely reluctant to give them up in any trade. But i do have a feeling we will trade him in the next 6 months.

If anyone wants to complain about the Rasho signing, go talk to the Spurs. But 8.4 for a centre who goes out and does the dirty work, doesn't complain and works his ass off every night is not a bad price at all.

moon will be resigned after we sign a big time player - so he wouldn't count against the cap I think. But when we trade TJ, unless we get expiring contracts, we'll have to take a similar salary in return - so we'll not save any money there. Plus we'll have to sign someone like roko to 2 millions or around.

Isn't this year his last year though. If it is he probably won't be back in 09/10 season!

Number crunching aside, Colangelo has made it clear that he would be able to, and presumably would like to, go after someone in the FA class a year from now, but that might become limited if he makes much of a major move this off-season.

Personally I never like the FA market much. See ACIE's list of overpaid players and add many more who found gold in free agency, and then often enough declined in their careers. But if he has his eyes set on someone that will make the difference the way Nash did for him, then I wouldn't complain.
