Angry Are the Raptors are responsible for Kleiza's injury? Linas says no.

Quote:
The Lithuanian international had been complaining to Raptors' medical team for the past two months about excruciating pain in his right knee. The team's doctors ignored his pleas and insisted that it was nothing to worry about and that he should continue training at 100% and just go through some routine therapies until the pain is gone.

Kleiza, having no other choice, listened to the doctors and continued training - and playing - at his 100%, having no idea the deterioration his knee was receiving, day by day.

If this is any true, then I can only say - fuck Colangelo, fuck Triano and fuck Carlesimo.

Sounds like a bullshit story. What reason do they have to ignore him? What player would play with "excruciating pain" in the knee even if he was told to? What would the Raptors gain forcing him to play when its obvious the goal of the season is tanking for a low pick?

If their goal was to trade him, it would obviously be the contrary. Let him heal to go back to full form and keep his trade value up.

Kobe played with injuries. Some of the Lithuanian national team members used to play with injuries in the past. Ilgauskas played with broken feet or feet near the point of braking. I think Yao played with injuries.

this is a ridiculous thread, teams don't force players to play, if they say they can't play they won't
there's too much money invested in players these days not to make sure they are healthy

Yeah, and choices are based on the conclusions of the medical staff. If they knew that something was wrong and still decided to play him... Or maybe the medical staff is incompetent.

Kobes injuries where absolutely different from Kleizas. And he was playing to win a championship, not a 25 win season and not even make the playoff. Yao basically the same, he was fighting through the playoff and stopped playing as soon as it was obvious he wasnt helping his team.

You bet your money it's their fault. We might finally get to get these bums off the Raptors.

Just to clear thins up, I'm not saying this is necessarily true. Neither am I saying that nowadays players are forced to play through injuries. Yet the fact is that Kleiza played with the injury (or was I the only one tripping and seeing a knee sleeve?). Then, bam, he's on the injured list and bam once again - a surgery. I mean being a doctor how do you not notice such a severe injury?

This looks more than true. It's not the kind of stuff that gets made up on the fly. What kind of star payer would want to play for this bum ass organization. Colangelo and his handpicked Italian staff need to go.

The author claims that Kleiza's injury was inevitable and that according to inside information, from Olympiacos' medical team - posted on September 1st, 2009 - they had predicted that Kleiza would suffer a major injury to either his knees or waist in the next three to four years.
What more do you need to realize this is bullshit? Insider Greek blog?! The Raptors did the same to Garbo?!

Does Lithuania host the Euros this summer?

If so, I can totally understand the disappointment. Blaming people is pretty natural reaction. There is really no reason the the staff would ignore this, Its not like they are winning.

Raptors forcing Their player play through the injury? They desperately wanted to win that 25 games. Biased conclusions IMO.
