Raptors Remaining 12 Games

So, I'd like to think we can finish off the season strong considering the schedule is definitely in our favour. So guys & gals, make your predictions now on how you feel we'll fair down the stretch. :)

Detroit 49-20 L
New York 19-50 W
New Orleans 47-21 L
@ Charlotte 25-44 W
@Atlanta 30-39 L
Charlotte 25-44 W
@ New Jersey 29-41 L
Milwaukee 24-44 W
New Jersey 29-41 W
@ Detroit 49-20 L
Miami 12-57 W
@ Chicago 27-42 L

Maybe I'm playing it safe, but I think this team will finish 6-6 during this final stretch to the playoffs and solidify 6th spot.

Your predictions guys? :confused2:

I think we're going to get hot after the New Orleans game and go on a streak, head into the playoffs hot and make it to the second round.

Agree, after that game the only one that I think we will loose will be the Pistons' one.

At this point i'm only concerned with finishing 500 in terms of our record...this seasons' record is a lost cause due to injuries as far as i'm concerned. All I want to see over the final 12 games is an improvment in team chemistry. Ford seems to be mellowing and Bosh is readjusting but there are still issues. Bargnani is still wildly inconsistant and i'd rather at this point Rasho get his playoff minutes. Moon i'm happy with..>Delfino has been invisible of late and we can't beat great teams without him. Kapono the same... and Parker... give him more shots! The man is playing amazing ball right now and just because Bosh is back doesn't mean he shouldn't get the rock. He is hot..ride him!

rapsfan087 03-24-2008 11:48 AM

More than the record, I am thinking that if they win all those games, it will be more easy that they can play well in playoffs.

Thug 03-24-2008 11:54 AM

I don't care how many of those we win as long as we remain in the 6th seed. That's all.

Philly should lose tonight against Boston, so there is a little room for error.

phily has a very light schedule, I think it's more likely we'll fight the wizards for the 6th spot, and phily will get 5th. And I think Cleveland should be very afraid of the 76ers, they are on their worst matchups, especially when igoudala is playing well, forcing lebron to spend more time on defense.

Kuzzy 03-24-2008 01:49 PM

I say 1 game over 500.
and finish in 6th with philly behind us with a 500. record

The last Piston game is winnable too because they'll be resting their starters like last year, I think (they're on an island in 2nd currently, I don't see Orlando catching them and they won't get up to Boston either, so there's not as much to fight for)

Really we only have 2 more "hard" games left, and those are coming up right away.

Detroit 49-20 L
New York 19-50 W
New Orleans 47-21 L
@ Charlotte 25-44 W
@Atlanta 30-39 L
Charlotte 25-44 W
@ New Jersey 29-41 L
Milwaukee 24-44 W
New Jersey 29-41 W
@ Detroit 49-20 W
Miami 12-57 W
@ Chicago 27-42 W

8-4 and 43-39 overall... I'll be the optimistic one I guess. Boy it'd be nice to enter the playoffs on a 5 game winning streak, though.

ClingRap 03-24-2008 03:02 PM

i think we're heading for the seventh seed based on what i've seen in the last three games from this bunch. we arent playing with a sense of urgency, and i think las year's success has crept into the minds of the players, and only now are they realizing that the season is over and this team has failed miserably.
They havent shown me any mental toughness and resolve all season, and now is the time when they'll need it most. A 6 and 6 records means we're walking into the playoffs. i think more important than seeding right now is momentum and we haven't had any in over two months.

We can't finish 1 game over .500, heh. Evens at season's end.

Don't bank on that MVP because the 2nd or 3rd last game of last year we played Detroit where they already had things locked up and Flip played all the big guns. There's no such thing as taking a day off to rest if your the Pistons. :(

We rested Parker and Bosh. :sigh:

Yeah I realize that, but what I trying to say is for us not to get our hopes up if we think Flip is going to rest his guys just because they might need the rest before they start their playoff run.

I think we can win 9 of the final 12 games. The Pistons games will be losses - even the
3rd last game. Last year the Pistons rested their starters and their 2nd unit almost beat us..I think we can take Atlanta. I'm not too high on their play - neither NJ. They're both gimme games. The only game that i indicated a win but might lose is the final game against Chicago.

Dr. J. Naismith 03-24-2008 03:43 PM

Nope, here's the boxscore from that game. Second last regular season game and the Pistons whooped us 100-84 with all the big guns starting and each playing a minimum of 20 + minutes.

Oh, I know. I was just adding that in addition to that we rested our guys. :reporter:

Krazy Ivan 03-24-2008 03:53 PM

I don't care about how many games they win as long as they don't end up 7th or lower... even then I am not sure Raps can beat Orlando.

Superjudge 03-24-2008 04:04 PM

toronto has shown us an inate ability to opse to just about anyone, so, to be honest, I ain't even gonna hazzard a guess on what they may do over the next 12 games.
