I wanted Chandler 4 years ago when he could have been had and signed to a much smaller LT contract.

i get some confusion from people's comments...getting Wilson Chandler in TO doesn't mean we can't draft MKG or Barnes in May , in another word we will draft anyone who is best aviliable on that draft night(even trade our draft base on the
return)

so if there is chance to upgrade our SF position why just do it...my only concern is who will be S&T to get him?

i don't mind to send Barbosa with some package but not Jose for now.

win win. we get a better player in the draft as well as lock up the sf spot.
The plan was to ship Barbosa for cap space, not necessarily ship him to Denver. They would not want to take his salary, and they're already filled with SGs.

If we lock up Chandler, I'd say we def. draft a SG. Jeremy Lamb would be great. Or Austin Rivers if he declares.

We could even draft a SF, but just no Drummond please. I'd rather draft a player and have him grow here then draft a guy only to have him tear it up for another team.

Are you sure you've got the right Chandler?

He was signed by the Knicks, so the Raps couldn't have done that.

isn't he a free agent ?

i don't understand why we need to trafe to get him. when he will receive his clearance FIBA letter, he can choose any team, no ?

if it's the case we can offer him between 5M and (waive alabi and buttler) 7-8M.
maybe it isn't enough, but that seems honest.
not so many team could offer him that right now.

but i'm not sold on him. sorry.

he is a restricted free agent. Denver can match so the Raptors can either offer an amount too much for Denver to match, or they can perform a sign and trade with Denver where Denver does not take back much or any salary in a scenario where they don't have Chandler leave for nothing.

Why are you not sold on him? I personally prefer Chandler over Batum.

I prefer Batum.... he's bigger, longer, more athletic.. though WC is good too.

Batum doesn't want to play here, I don't know why people keep mentioning him as a possibility...

For all we know, Chandler might not want to play for us either.

Wilson Chandler's bigger in weight, but height wise they're equal. Chandler can play anywhere from the 2-4 because of his wingspan. He blocks shots like crazy.

I compared Batum and Chandler, he merely countered saying he'd rather Batum than Chandler.

don't crush my dream!

I'm not sure Wilson is as tall and long as Batum...... measurements can be off

well I mean, the fact that Chandler can play the 4 and Batum can't is still there right?

I don't think Wilson is a guy that can play the four for long stretches against good teams..... and I'm sure Batum could if put there in a small lineup too

I think Batum is too frail. He doesn't look like he has the bulk, and Chandler's actually started with the Knicks at 4 for a long period. I'm not saying he should be played at the 4 nor am I suggesting that it's a good idea, but the versatility is great to have.

I have a man-crush on him.
