I touched on this in the thread about Gordon rejecting NOH's extension.

If Gordon is going to go to a smaller market team, it will probably be Indiana. Why would he choose Toronto, when Indiana is a fastly improving team that can compete? Plus, he liked living in Indiana.

my old post:

The truth is, despite comments by Bill Simmons back in December, and maybe a couple of other authors, Gordon's contract issue has flown under the radar. However, Indiana is very aware of the situation. Indiana has a good team right now, yet the Pacers still held back from using all of their cap space, even though now would be a good time to use it, since a bunch of their players are on rookie contracts and will eventually need raises. The Pacers showed a lot of discipline by not going after another piece to further strengthen their bench.

There is good reason to believe that Indiana will go after Gordon, and that Gordon wants to play for the Pacers. He played college in Indiana and supposedly likes it there. I think Simmons might be on to something when he speculates that the Pacers held back from going after another solid player during the FA period because they want to make a bigger splash this summer.

Barbosa.... have you seen Rudy's teammates? They make him look better. Defensively, Barbosa is better too.

Yep we did, and we won last year in Dallas without Bargnani. What's your point. You think Bayless will play like that all the time? You think Demar as inconsistent as he is will all of a sudden average 28ppg? Let's face it, that lineup only works against certain matchups and we don't play NJ often enough. lol

Well I'm not saying that we should trade him for a tuna sandwich, but i think that we should look into replacing him for someone who will work better in this team, and will care about winning rather than just his own stats (don't mean to accuse Barbosa of not caring it just seams that way sometimes)

If I'm the Nuggets GM I'm not going to add an offensive player when I already have the best offensive team in the league with the 2nd best record in the West. Why would I add Barbosa and pay a luxury tax?

I don't want to create another thread but. If we miss out on Chandler (I wouldn't totally oppose it, if it's around 6-7 million range) and Gordon, what do people think about Quincy Miller?

I don't think we'll be drafting top 5 since Bargnani coming back will mean we will win games. I think 6-10 is our drafting range. Kidd-Gilchrist and Barnes will be gone by then, so maybe we go for him? I think he's solid.

Gilchrist is projected to go 6-7th.

Not really, but they're some sleepers like Marquis Teague (great athlete) and Myck Kabongo (Canadian, good playmaker) that are expected to go later in the first round. Kendall Marshall is a pure pg that might go in the lottery, but he doesn't look that impressive to me, as he's surrounded with a lot of talent.

Marshall out of U of Jordan. more of the Chauncy/Andre Miller type. not a great athlete but distributes the ball. average defensively.

If we ever end up getting Wilson, we'd have to get rid of Calderon, and thats gonna lead us with a big hole

Kabongo is a super-fast local kid with a knack for passing the ball. I don't care how slim he is at the moment - I would definitely take a chance on him with a late first-rounder.

Why would the Raptors have to get rid of Calderon if they acquired Wilson? They play different positions and Calderon only has one more year left on his contract.

I really would love this team to have a pg who is creating for his teammates and can defend well, + a good shooter (i guess that's too much to ask)
