How is he undersized if he has a 6'9 wingspan and a 40" vertical? You don't defend with your head you defend with your arms.

I really like the sounds of going after picks and two-way players like Chandler that old fit into what Casey is trying to do.

disagree, you defend with your legs, body, arms, head. He's undersized and soft on D... I've seen enough of him, never have been as impressed as some on here. To me, he's better than DD on O, but I see DD as a better long-term fit here. We've had softness on the perimeter for too many years.

agree. Having players play both sides of the ball like Bargnani does is a winning formula.

Agreed.

Denver just plopped 10.5Mil/year on Galinari. I doubt they'd want to spend another 8-9Mil on a backup for him. A S&T makes sense.

@mrsharpphoto He's worth as much as Gallo, more than Amir. $8-$9-mil is fair market value and I imagine the range Raps will offer within.

It is relevant no team in the history of the NBA has won a championship with there starting 2 guard being 6'3".

I agree with this!

Can we do a sign & trade for Chandler that goes like this?

Barbosa & Butler

4

Chandler (S&T 8- 8.5Mill)

Sounds good to me.

Jose/Bayless
DeRozan/Weems
Chandler/JJ/Kleiza
AB/Amir/Davis
JV/Mags

Not bad

I don't think Denver would want to take any salary back - or just minimal salary - since they're already rigut up against the cap and they probably don't want to go over it.

The Raptors could send the Nuggets a couple of small salaries (e.g., Johnson, Butler, Bayless) to make the deal work.

I could see something being worked out between Denver and Toronto since the Nuggets GM is a former employee of the Raptors and BC.

One thing the Nuggets have is depth and their core is signed for many years. All the Nuggets players are better. I don't see any player they would want from the Raps.

We'd need to aquire assets in another deal, trade exception/players/picks? they can then flip to Denver. I could see them wanting Barbosa though for a playoff run.

I don't know how that would work, but i think so. Isn't he almost done in China, which would make him a RFA?

They already have the best offense in the NBA by sharing the ball. I don't think they need Barbosa to create offense and they already have Rudy backing up Afflalo (they're both better than Barbosa). Adding him isn't going to put them over the top.

Is it just me who thinks that this team would be better off without Barbosa? Sure he can score (sometimes) but he is the most selfish player in this team! instead of passing the ball to the players that are open or in the better position to take a shot he ALWAYS shoots himself. The only reason he passes the ball is if he has no way of attacking..

He's the only player on this team for the most part that does attack.
