Post Raptors Predicted Stats (ESPN)

2010 Fantasy Basketball Rankings & Projections - Free Fantasy Basketball - ESPN

Quote:
1. Chris Bosh, Tor PF, C YEAR GP MIN FG% FT% 3PM REB AST A/TO STL BLK TO PTS
2009 Statistics 77 38.0 .487 .817 0.2 10.0 2.5 1.10 0.9 1.0 2.3 22.7
2010 Projections 73 37.7 .500 .819 0.2 9.8 2.5 1.08 0.8 1.0 2.3 21.9
2010 Outlook: Perhaps they've acquired Hedo Turkoglu a little too late in his career, and perhaps the acquisitions of Rasho Nesterovic, Jarrett Jack and Demar DeRozan aren't enough to make the Raptors title contenders, but at least they've shown a willingness to spend money on players in order to make Bosh want to stick around. At the very least, Bosh will be surrounded by the most talent he's ever had. Bosh is as consistent a fantasy option as there is, and is a good bet to continue putting up the 20 points, 10 rebounds and solid percentages that have made him such a force in fantasy the past few seasons

lol, predicting stats is a joke. And they are expecting a lot of our players to downgrade from next season.

Its done all the time in Fantasy Football. Its how many base their fantasy player rankings and I would imagine most people in our FF league at least look at that stuff regularly. In terms of determining how a team will do based on stats projections? Yeah, its not good for that but in terms of building a fantasy team to compete with, it can be very useful. I think the article was referring to fantasy production if anything.

That reminds me. Given the interest in my football league, I will be opening an NBA head-to-head fantasy league as soon as Yahoo opens the "digital doors".

I;m not totally sold on that idea. They have had clubs in the past would weren't any better at grabbing boards than this team. I think Bargnani's and Turkoglu's rebounding totals are more likely to increase if anything.

Have they announced when will it start this year? You know I'm down for joining this again.

I wonder if we'll need 2 leagues like last year given the interest and the amount of new people to this forum?

That or make the league bigger? I'm thinking about creating a keeper league where you can keep two players and carry them over to the following season. When I create a league I'll start a thread and gauge the interest then in making it a keeper league.

As I recall from last year, I think the max is 20 per league. We might need 3 of them.

The keeper idea sounds interesting, I didn't know Yahoo offered that.

It does and I've ran a keeper league for another popular Raptors forum for three seasons at Yahoo. What I run there works well and I'd like to bring it here depending on the interest. I feel I have a good system that will work and insure that the league gets a more competitive group of managers year to year.

Eh:
What do you get if you put 2 subpar rebounders on a team with a good rebounder?

Remember, last season Bosh played alongside a good rebounder in O'Neal and still managed to avg nearly 10 rpg. If anything, Hedo and Bargs should see a decline in their rebounding numbers whilst Bosh, an increase.

O'Neal is now a horrible rebounder. He averaged 7.7 rebounds per 36 minutes last season. The only Eastern center who was worse and is projected to start next season? Bargnani at 6.1 rebounds per 36 minutes.
